Re: NexVision's VzW TP ROM

Nex you're the man. It's a lot faster, response times are up and I like the options. My only wish is that we could uninstall the stuff we wouldnt use. Like personally I dont play games although anyone who plays them will LOVE all the games you've put in. Is there anyway to uninstall the progs/games we wouldnt use to save space? Other than that I really like it, its one giant step for Verizon TP Kind!

Re: NexVision's VzW TP ROM

thanks for the hard work put into this nex. Quick noob question here: with these directions;
Quote:

3.then in the newly created RUU directory add the rom of your choice - (copy the RUU_Signed.nbh to desktop\RUU)
do I simply add your nbh file to the ruu folder? I did that(dropped your nbh file into th ruu fold), ran the rom update utility and it's asking me if I want to upgrade from my unlocked ver of 1.03.605.4 to wm6.1_20931. question is, is that what it's suppose to show with your nbh in that folder?

edit: bit the bullet and just hit yes, so far so good. thanks again for putting in the effort to do this!

edit2: running damn smooth now. Just 2 questions: 1. any way to get the fonts to revert back to the original stock type? my eyes aren't what they use to be and some of the lettering bleeds into the next and 2: the home tab has a different background from teh rest of the tabs when i'm using tf3d. I tried changing the wallpaper and it won't revert back now.

How long before we will be able to use PPCKitchen for building our own kitchens for the Verizon Touch Pro?

Forgive my noobness but can we use any available rom including those for the sprint version or do we need to use roms that are verizon only (I realize that Nex's is the only one currently out)

ya im wondering this too (hence my thread)... tried yours out nex works it seems but lots of stuff cooked into ROM im not interested in... I would rather have a CLEAN CLEAN CLEAN rom and use cabs with sashimi.

Re: NexVision's VzW TP ROM

I built my own ROM last night in the kitchen, and everything seemed to work fine. Only thing is I lost the AKEY during the flash and tech support wasn't open at 4 AM :P

I flashed back to stock since I left out a lot of extras that I wanted, but like I said, it otherwise seemed to work great!

anyone have any idea how to restore the default font in tf3d? this one is funky and doesn't even display the weather digits properly... gonna hang with this rom til we can cook or a clean one comes out but if i could fix the font in the meantime that woudl be awesome.

thanks ;)
