I went ahead and installed this for ****s and giggles. First off, it takes forever to install. Secondly, it will error out crying about permissions so make sure you have disabled TF3D BEFORE you bother to install and it should work fine as this is what I did. Thirdly, any manila files you have customized in any way will be replaced.

Yes, since it's a cab you can uninstall it. It's listed as HTC Manila in Remove Programs. What will uninstalling it do? I am not sure because I am not in a position to remove it yet. If it disables my phone in any way I will be screwed until I get home so I am waiting for lunch but I would assume it will remove the transitions and replace the manila files but they won't be your customized files. They will probably be stock manila without transitions.

Performance wise, the transitions happen with a snap (not an instant snap like it currently is) versus a smooth slow transition. Initially, there is some stuttering with transitions when you go to teh picture tab, music tab and weather tab but once you have tabbed there a couple times, it's fairly smooth although still more of a snap transition versus a slow smooth transition like you see on HTC's site for the Pro.
