test started at 4:19

wifi - on
bluetooth - on
data connection - on
phone - on
listened to Windows Media Player for the entire period

Answered 2 phone calls during this testing period

48MB Dynamic Page Pool

100% immediately dropped to 98%
five minutes later it was sitting at 95%
After 2 full hours at 6:19 I was sitting at 84%

After more normal usage, consisting of a couple of phone calls, one over
hour long while connected via Remote Desktop...usage finally went down
to 20 percent at 10:19

Sounds pretty good. That is alot of usage. Does your memory still say 203mb or is it a lower number?

Just to give everyone a head's up...I had an amazing battery life yesterday since I flashed it with JD's Rom & 24MB Static PP. I took it off the charger 7:30am and used it normally for work. I got home last night at 7:30pm and it had 36% left. This includes long phone conversations, using bluetooth for about 30mins, and checking e-mails.

The last time I had JD's with 48MB Dynamic PP, it drained my battery till it turned off in less than 4 hours with minimum phone conversations and no bluetooth use.

I'm not the smartest guy in the world, but maybe there's a difference with Static and Dynamic Pagepool battery consumption!

Anyhow, thanks for everyone's hard researches!

How do you have a 48MB dynamic PP? Wouldn't it just be dynamic, not 48MB?

My memory says 143.27...48 MB Dynamic PP

I am thinking of trying out the 24 MB Dynamic PP tomorrow then try the static

I should mention that this test was also done with "beam" activated...ie..accept all incoming beams

I'm currently running JD 5.0 with 48MB Dynamic PP. I've had no issues with the battery. I unplug it at 8AM and use it all day including 15-20 txt messages...the occasional picture mail 30-60 minutes of talk time, data for activesync manually, and the occasional web browsing through opera...and at 11pm still at 25%

I believe deviant.ones results were accurate. As for everyone else testing the battery usage, please remember that your results are worthless unless you can monitor the radio power consumption separately and then subtract that out. This is due in part because the phone will consume more power to get a better signal. So unless you're camped out under a cell tower providing you with perfect signal, then chances are good your battery test results are tainted... otherwise you will have to turn the radio off to make the test, unless you ideally have multiple phones (exactly set up the same) side by side testing simultaneously,

Are you going to post the new files or JD's latest rom D1? I was using the last one just fine, but I'd like the updated rom.

I second that please! I like to see the latest ROM, with 48PP!

What's the difference of 48PP Dynamic and 48PP Static? Doesn't the 48MB size defeat the purpose of being "dynamic?"

give it a try

i would encourage you to go ahead a download the hex editor and follow the instructions in the other pagepool thread.

i had never used an editor before and it took like 5 min to figure it out. you change 2 numbers and you are done.
