Re: How To Flash Your Touch Pro

Thanks JD for the flash from sd card info, flashing my new phone now. And who put the reset button on the outside of this device? Marvelous! Now I like the pro for the sd-card slot, AND the placement of the reset button...

I'd be glad to help you out but need some details...like what rom are you trying to flash? Your profile says you have a PPC6800??? So, do you have a touch pro? If so, which one? Are you on xp or vista? Are you doing it via computer or microSD card? Sounds like you are trying to flash a rom for the wrong device. Not sure though.

Try using the shipped sprint rom instead of the dumped one

Re: How To Flash Your Touch Pro

So i've run into almost the same problem referred to above, just a bit different.

While trying to Flash Touch Pro Radio to .37 i get a error 262 when using active sync on multiple machines (Would grey out device..display.. loading then display percentage bar on device. Never passes 0%). And when trying to flash using MicroSD It presents a Grey Screen "Loading.." in blue text and remains there (i've left it at loading screen for 24hours and no change.). I've tried this for a while now and cant get this to work. Anyone have any advice. I've tried every trick listed on this thread and others (hopefully i over looked one). I am really interested in getting this done asap since i've been using the stock rom for some time now and i seem to hard reset the device every two weeks because it slows to a crawl.

.37 is the SPL version, not the radio. You should be posting this question in the unlocking and locking thread here(if that's what you're doing). What phone do you have and what carrier and what are you trying to do? Sounds like you're trying to unlock your phone, not flash a radio.

Well yeah i was trying to update the SPL to .37. I'm using a Sprint Touch Pro and i'm trying to unlock it so i can get Mighty Rom 5 on it. I've flashed my Titan plenty of times and never ran into a issue like this. Any idea what could cause the error 262 while updating SPL or why it doesnt past 0% also when using MicroSD install it stays at loading screen. Thanks in advance for the help. I think this is the aproprate thread if not i've also asked the same question here

All the info you need is in that thread I gave you a link to, and you can also do a search in that thread for your problem. Many people have had the same problem and said what fixed it. Did you follow the "preparations before flash" in the other thread. All the instructions to unlock your phone are in the other thread in the first post. Try this, click on start-settings-connections-usb to pc, then uncheck the box right under activesync.
