Re: How To Flash Your Touch Pro

I'm trying to get the definitive answer to this question: I finally flashed to the Mighty Rom 4.16 and everyone here was right, it's a lot easier than I feared. I do have a question, however, when I downloaded the custom Mighty ROM and extracted it to its own folder on my PC there's like 10 or 11 files in there. I then extracted the RUU to its own separate folder. So now I have a RUU folder with its files and a ROM folder with its files.

The how-to flashing instructions just say to "drop the nbh file (from whatever custom ROM u have) into the RUU Folder" then run the rom updated utility. So that's what I did: I took the nbh file from the ROM folder and put it into the RUU folder, but if only 1 file (the .nbh file) is in the RUU folder, what happens to the other 10 files that came with the ROM? Do they get loaded to the device? It seems to have worked but .....?

You don't need the RUU files from this thread for flashing Mighty's Rom. Most custom roms come with their own. So you can skip all those steps and just plug your phone into the computer and establish activesync and open the Custom_RUU.exe file in the mighty rom download and the flashing will begin. The nbh file is the only one that gets sent to your phone. The rest of the files are for running the rom update utility

Thanks, I'm going to try that tonite. Last nite I flashed to the Mighty 4.16 ROM but I meant to flash to the reborn ROM. So I'll just use the "custom.ruu" file that came with the ROM.
Edit: It worked great, flashed to the reborn ROM w/o a problem. Thanks Razor!!!

Hey there again. lol
Yes, it is.

FYI, read my post above. It makes the flashing process much easier.

yes, you run the update on your computer with activesync established with your phone. Do you have WinRar installed on your computer? You need that to extract the file first. What rom are you trying to flash?

By the way, I was just curious, what fixed your problem earlier when you couldn't sync your phone to the computer?
