Slide the keyboard = previous program?

whenever I slide open the keyboard it switches to the last application running in background.

anyone else with this issue?

Yes I have that intermittently. Otherwise the 4.0 is perfect. Been using it since release.

Hopefully his next release will fix that problem. It gets kind of annoying. Soft resets fixes the problem temporarily. People mentioned to copy the stock manilas back, but do not want to do that cause wipe my customization of my manilas. It's tedious work.

I hope his next release is Super Super Clean rom.

Okay, A battery update for everyone.

I softreset at 1:30 last night at 86%, it came back up at 84% and 8 hours later, its 9:30, when i woke up, i checked and had 75%.

It appears data is really tough on the device.

I had an incodent yesterday, not sure what happened, but I lost 10% of my battery in seconds. went from 36% to 26% during a softreset.


The slide out deal happened on my mogul a lot as well with stock rom.
It seems to be the program having trouble adjusting. so it just goes into the background.
With the TP it has to do with the touch menu wanting to come up.

I think much of it has to do with the inaccurate battery driver. But still, the battery life seems to have improved greatly!

got Opera 2745 installed and WOW!Much better than the original. Just one thinh thogh the menu icon and address bar are so tiny. Anyone know how to make em bigger?

Yay, 4.0 is the first ROM ive flashed on the Pro. Not quite sure what made me take the plunge, but im glad I did. Now im always lurkin around the forum, hoping to see an update..even tho everything seems/is working fine on my device. I dunno...I guess Im just a flash junkie? LOL. Thanks for everything, man. I had FUN!!!

This happens after a phone call.
If I terminate cprog.exe the program is fix. But ofcourse the phone can no longer make calls... so I would have to reset anyway.

Had more wierd battery happenings last night.
Not sure why.
Went from 56% to 20% really quick.

This phone sure has some quirks.

I was thinking about people complaining about battery life. Well, this phone has a LOT of memory compared to any other phone that I know of (no idea on iphone, but I imagine more) and it would definatly take more battery to keep that Ram going.
Just a though for people I suppose.


I have an issue with Internet sharing crashing occasionally.
It goes along with my other issue, but that's another one.
Anyways, when the connection freezes up for me, the internet sharing program wont close, disconect, or restart properly.
Have to soft reset to get it to work. Cannot manually stop in dot fred.

I will add some weird battery reports:

Every 2-3 nights while I am sleeping and my TP is charging, it shuts off COMPLETELY!! At first I thought it was the drain/stress from using the Pro as a modem for extended periods of time but it happened last night and I haven't used it as a modem in 2 days !!

Strange, I have AWESOME battery life after this rom and the Activesync fix but have been late waking up a couple times because I rely on SPB Time's alarm on my TP and if it shuts off, NO ALARM!!

The other nights that this happened, I was tethering the device for a while on those days and I noticed, as with my previous Touch MP6900, when you tether, you might as well forget about that battery for the day as it just plummits to a certain death if not hooked to a charger all day. I am getting a spare battery cuz I just like to have a fully charged backupo at all times but I have a felling my issue is the device, not the battery. After all, it dies while it's hooked to a wall charger and is in idle all night ?????? I have to take out the battery before it will power up and the battery is 90% plus!

I am starting to wonder if I should take the TP back to the Sprint store and have it replaced........ But the agony of re-doing EVERYTHING I have done is what has prevented me from doing so thus far.


ONE QUESTION: If I backup EVERYTHING with PIM backup (even "my device" which backs up every file/setting) and backup the registry using PHM, will it be easy, once I upgrade to YFJ's 4.0 or 5.0 when it's released, to just restore EVERYTHING? Thank you in advance for any advice!

I am trying to customize my icons using tsowen's thread Custom Start Icon/Battery/Speaker and EV 1X Icons

Question:
Any Idea why no matter how many times I install Taskbar%20Icons%20v2.cab I cannot get the HTC Start Icon from the cab to replace the orb Start Icon that came w/ Y4Js 4.0? All the other icons install but not the Start Icon.

I tried renaming shellres.192.dll to shellres.192.dll.old and shellres.192.dll.0409.mui to shellres.192.dll.0409.mui.old and then installing Icone Demarrer.cab and then Taskbar%20Icons%20v2.cab. No luck...](*,)

Anyone have any ideas on how to get around this? Thanks in advance!

I ran Taskbar%20Icons%20v2.cab first. It will install the start menu icon that you can see on my pics a couple pages back. Then, run the other stuff if you want another icon. Sorry I couldn't help more. Kinda newb myself :)

I am running 4.0...still loving it. Haven't had the problems that some of you are reporting, but I do have a general question.

If I'm to update my Opera Mini with the newest version...all I have to do is to install the new .cab right? Or is there anything special I'll have to do?

I changed it back to 2bc and it went back to ultra tiny. How exactly (in detail for those of us who arent professionals) do you make the size look normal?

You have to do it in decimal, you saved it in hexidecimal format, so it comes out funky. =)

Don't mean to make fun but this is sooooo funny!

No, not what you say. you can have numbers in different bases (like base 10 is what most of us know). If you write "10" in hex that is really 16 in base 10. So if you typed 800 in hex that is a big number in base 10 (8*16*16).

When you try 800 or 900 make sure you are entering that number in decimal.

Yes, decimal is an input type, as is hexidicimal.

So, when you edit you need to check the box that says decimal format, put in 800, then click okay and save.

How do I change my default browser to opera?

I love this rom but the only problem I have with it is the default browser... When i click a link in my e-mail it opens in internet explorer. How do I change it so that it opens withh opera?

I wanted to report my 9 hour battery life in standby after softreset at 3% usage last night.
I have no idea how i got 3% last night in 9 hours and 10% the other night in 8 hours. Phone was in the same place, with the same things runnin in the background.
I also got a text message at 7 this morning which would have woke the phone up for 1 minute, then displayed LED Notification the rest of the morning till 10:30

Battery usage in this device is soooo strange.

Hello! I am having trouble installing this rom on my sprint tp.I just got it today from best buy. When I put the phone in bootloader mode, it already said that the phone was unlocked (spl 37). Now I am trying to install in trhough my sd card. I changed the name of the ruu to RAPHIMG.nbh. When I hold the power button, volume, and soft reset it says loading, but does not pull up any rom to load. I also tried to load the unlocker again, but it will bot go. Can someone please help. Thanks

First of all, if its a brand new phone it won't be unlocked. But when you are in bootloader does it have 0000 after the spl37 or does it have cmonex after the spl37? If you have 0000 then its not unlocked, in that case just download the unlocker that stickied up top. When its unlocked it should say spl37.cmonex or something to that extent.

Phone standing upright.
Press Phone Key (to goto dial screen).
Press Volume Up.
Slide Keyboard Open (while volume is shown on screen).
Slide Keyboard Close.
Goto Text Messages (not Touch Flo , but Windows Text message)
Slide Keyboard Open to type your message.

Do you see the bug? It always reverts to Phone. Try launching IE and sliding keyboard open.... The phone app will appear.

I just did what you said and everything functioned normally. you probably did some edit/customization/added a program/regedit that is causing this to happen.

I think its your Touch Pro...mine did NOT have your issue....besides, how did you narrow down the sequence of events? Opening and closing your TP...was it just that ONE time?

The font on the screen for volume up/down is very small, is this adjustable?
