Re: Shadowmite's minimal stock(ish) rom

+1 one on the RING comment. I mean yeah it's cool to have a custom ringer, but unless it's loud or squeeky (like most new ringers) you tend to not notice the ring in a busy noisy area. It seems we are trained to hear that RING RING.. Hey dude, your pants are ringing..

Re: Shadowmite's minimal stock(ish) rom

Ok shadow i tried a rom with your base...few issues...mostly on the build end...going to see if they go away with jd's base...will report findings after...my goal is to create a hybrid base from the both of yours so wish me luck!!!

What issues have you had? I can only fix what I know about. Though I imagine you mean issues changing stuff...

Re: Shadowmite's minimal stock(ish) rom

Thanks shadowmite! Looking forward to giving your ROM a spin.

One question - are the registry settings in your ROM for GPS the same as the Sprint stock? I ask because I had the Diamond before, and some of the settings I used to modify to try to improve performance aren't present in TP stock, and my GPS seems to be working MUCH better (something that wasn't the case with the Diamond... like disabling agps). Just hoping I'll still have the same GPS experience.

Thanks again!

Re: Shadowmite's minimal stock(ish) rom

MY gps settings are identical to what was dumped from the stock rom, yes...

I'll soon be posting up some revamped UC files now including setting program links in manilla...

I can't believe we have SM on board! When did you begin all of this, the Treo 600 or Samsung i730? It was so long ago I can't remember Good to see you're still around

Can someone write a review or tell me the types of problems this rom is having?

Dude this rom is super stable and super fast. I have not noticed one problem, crash, glitch, everything just works. And did I mention fast and whatever tweaks he has just made my battery life phenomoninal. I have all my medical apps on here, core player, and more. At least 20 programs installed with no slowdown. And thanks to JD and shadow mite i actually like gsm manilla better than sprint. Even though I have an everything plan sprint tv is garbage, and sprint navi is decent i just added that one sprint program with a cab. Overall I am very satisfied with this rom and will probably use this for a while until he comes out with something faster or just plain better. Maybe cook something myself it'll probably suck and i will go back to this.

Re: Shadowmite's minimal stock(ish) rom

So i flashed the rom and everything is great except one thing. I like Livesearch so i downloaded the .cab but when i try and access the gps from livesearch i get an error message. Can this be fixed? are there any other free programs that use gps and work like liveserach?

Re: Shadowmite's minimal stock(ish) rom

In Settings is it set to use the GPS Intermediate Driver or COM port? I had to change it to Intermediate Driver.
