well as said in n2c's post you will have to figure out how to enable it in the kernel many of us have tried cooking it in several different ways but i have been unsuccessful so far in it working no matter how you get it on your phone. one thing i suggest if you want to make an attempt at it is disabling the security in your your ROM.

Since I got satellite radio 2 years ago I haven't tuned to an FM station. If I needed to listen to a specific FM station I'd just listen to the stream like I do with the local sports channel I sometimes listen to. Just about all stations stream nowadays don't they?

Yeah, mostly...i can access most fm stations and a massive amount of internet radio stations with Kinoma Play, not to mention my library of music at home via Orb on my home pc.

The thing with FM radio guys is it takes virtually no battery life, and with the RDS feature you could still be rocking to your fav local station and know all song names, etc.
