all i know is i always change roms like underwear and many of them seem frozen at boot.
just place it on the table walk out for a minute and come back and see what happens.... just looking at the screen will seem like ages went by and u will end up rebooting or something. 9 of 10 it will boot but sometimes the first boot takes longer.

Well, to the guy with the stuck bootscreen:

Take out your battery for 30 seconds, press the power button a few times, put your battery back in, hard reset, then see if it boots.

no harm in some fun. i am dieing waiting for this phone to get here. it sucks when half my salary goes to school and i just brought a phone for almost 500 ouch

cant boot the phone and you cant hard reset it nor get to bootloader screen. Hard reset technique wont work for me. I think we are ****ed :/


How do I flash to a new rom if i cant even boot the phone up or sync it?


HARD RESET I TRIED:

1. Pull out the stylus.
2. With the device turned on, press and hold the VOLUME DOWN and ENTER (round circle on the front)
buttons, then press the RESET (tiny little dot under the headphone symbol at the bottom of the phone next to the USB/power jack) button with the stylus tip. (This finger contortion act is easiest performed with the phone held upside down… or you upside down and the phone the right way up, whichever you find easier!)
3. Release the RESET button, but continue pressing the VOLUME DOWN and
ENTER buttons until you see a message on a grey screen telling you about the hard reset procedure. If you get the HTC Touch logo then Windows Mobile booting, you haven’t done it right - try again!
4. Release the VOLUME DOWN and ENTER buttons, then press the VOLUME UP

Did you do the battery trick I posted? If it doesn't work, remove your battery, put it back in, hold the vol-down button and the center dpad button, then press power while still holding the dpad and vol button.

If others are having the same issues, I'll try to get Hibby to pull the ROM until it gets sorted out.

It's darn near impossible to brick these phones with HardSPL.

Put it in bootloader mode and connect it via USB. Then you can flash it even if it won't boot to Windows Mobile.

Sounds like you'll be able to hard reset once you use the right technique, though.
