Re: nueROM-S TOUCH PRO CDMA Build 217 [11/18]

I looked as much as possible without freaking out but does anyone know what error 240 file open means and how to work around it?

I am running 2.17. I can also confirm the white flashing bar (landscape does not have this issue), the task manager killing programs issue, and the on screen keyboard typing the last character when trying to minimize it.
it's a bug present in all rom builds past 2xxxx

Re: nueROM-S TOUCH PRO CDMA Build 217 [11/18]

Didn't see this problem posted. When using the onscreen keybaord (Full QWERTY) and type your message instead of closing when you click to close it, the last key pressed is repeated.

Just to update, this isn't an issue with the rom, it's with something I did. After a hard reset it works, but after I restore my sprite back up it doesn't again.

Re: nueROM-S TOUCH PRO CDMA Build 217 [11/18]

did anyone notice during a phone call the screen goes to sleep as soon as you put the phone to the ear, its related to the G sensor not the light sensor, to prove it try to hold the phone in your hand during a call, tilt the phone sideways the screen will go off,
this could be annoying when listening to voice mail and you want press 9 or 7 to save or delete the voice mail you find the screen offx so every time you have to press power button to bring the screen on again. anybody?

It's a battery saving feature. There's a registry hack to disable it. Do a search.

Actually, thats something I would be interested in as well. let me know if you find the registry hack. I hate having to unlock my phone every time I put it to my ear in voicemail.

8. Prevent screen switching off during phone call --> HKEY_Local_Machine\Drivers\BuiltIn\RIL\EnableFastD ormantDisplayDuringCall to 0 (Note: does not work on all ROMs)
AND (tested and works on EU ROMs thanks to Rod65)
HKCU\ControlPanel\Phone\Sleep switch value from 1 to 0

I did find an issue with the youtube app. Sometime when I play a video, the video controls won't come up. All that will come up is the bitrate.

Re: nueROM-S TOUCH PRO CDMA Build 217 [11/18]

I have been running this ROM (Build 217) for a few days now, but I have to go back to stock for the following reasons:

-Sip error mentioned earlier (instead of minimizing it repeats last key)
-Programs get closed by task manager WAY too easily
-Logmein does not appear to work with updated browser
-Some drop-down boxes do not work properly

I could deal with the SIP issue as it's only a minor annoyance, but the last three are deal breakers. I really like no2Chem's work so I'll check back in the future. Just wanted to share my experience.
