Once you install it, go to your mail tab on TF3D. You should have a new envelope on the right hand side. It's probably the lower one. So tap that, then tap menu bottom right, then tap New Mail.

I never needed to use the original cab. The updated one should be the whole program, at least it has worked fine for me. But you know, that whole picture mail has been touchy anyway since it was released.

I'm pretty sure that it requires it. The update is titled enhancements I think, so I would still assume that you need it the original to be enhanced. I guess try it and that should tell you for sure though.

Well since Sprint is assuming people are using stock roms on the Diamond and Touch Pro, they would call it an enhancment or an upgrade. Usually, upgrades and enhancments are a complete program. If not I would have thought they would have called it a patch. I do see your point but I have used it without the original when I installed a custom rom. I downloaded the updated PM and install that only and have had no problems.

I am curious, what about it didn't work? Right now I am still using Stock Sprint rom on my Touch pro so it has the original PM and of course now the updated picture mail. Sometimes it still takes super long to send and sometimes it doesn't even get sent.

Now admittedly, I have only had stock Sprint on the TP so I can not for certain say that the upgrade PM will work without the original but I know it did on my Diamond and I don't believe it's any different on the TP.

Mine works without the original, make sure you soft reset after installing it though. That is one thing that it doesn't do with the custom rom. When using stock, it reset the phone after the install.
