the stock shipped rom is signed, so your phone does not have to be unlocked to flash it. Just try like i mentioned.

Thanks for the idea. Unfortunately, at about 60%, when it's flashing the OS, it says "Update Terminate. UPDATE FAIL." I tried flashing from USB again too, and I get the same communication error. This phone is fighting me every step of the way.

Thanks again for your help! The phone took the flash of the original signed ROM, even though the newer stock ROM would fail, but this should be good enough for me to return the phone with. I'm so glad this is finally over! You've been a tremendous support!

Why don't you use the sprint shipped rom? It's easier to flash that one.

im dling now. im just used to having the RUU file there and just flashing the new rom on the phone. the one i dled just had a nbh and im not that familiar with that kind of file. does the shipped one have the RUU where i just click and flash?

Yes, it has the ruu all built in. It comes as an exe file that you just open and it will start the flash process.

i downloaded the sprint one but it seems im doing something wrong i try to unzip it just like i did with other rom but in only gives me one file a nbh one which is useless because when i click on it it it opens up a program that say what program would you like to use to run this. some body help or please give a different link to the sprint stock rom. thank you!

hi is it possible for you to link the sprint shipped rom in .rar so people could download it via their phone and extract it and flash it via micro sd card all without a comp (i specifically need it in .nbh/.rar as i have my laptop in repair and i need to send in my touch pro)

Even though it's an exe, you can still extract it with Pocket Rar and do it all on your phone.

yea...I just tried it. Downloaded the updated sprint shipped exe. Opened up PocketRar and opened the exe file and extracted the nbh. All on the phone.

Just out of curiosity, was it the Sprint shipped exe from ImCoKeMan's stock ROM thread cuz I tried that exe with PocketRAR earlier and it would not open. Just tried it again and won't open.

I just came on here to correct myself and saw your post to confirm. I got it mixed up with the mightyrom exe that i downloaded onto my card last week. My apologies...you are right...it will not extract with pocketrar. That's weird cause i can extract other rom exe's with pocketrar no problem.

Sorry guys if I'm posting in the wrong thread but I need help flashing back to the original Sprint Rom for returning purposes. My Sprint Touch Pro keyboard just died on me. It works and then stops completely and then works again, Its back and forth. I don't even know where to start. Im running Might Rom 5 on my Touch Pro and need the Original Sprint Rom as you guys know. Can you guys help this 16 year old please. Thanks a lot, Im Erick.

sure man...just download the updated shipped sprint rom in the first post and establish activesync with computer and phone with the usb cable, then open the shipped rom exe file you downloaded and the flashing will begin.

i guess you don't know what a rar file is? Install a program called winrar to unzip it, then follow my instruction above

my tpro just crapped out on me and i need to get it back to telus...

if there's no shipped rom for telus on the main page, can i still use the dumped rom then relock and all will be good when i bring it in or do i have to find a shipped version somewhere?

and if i didn't upgrade the radio at all then it should still be the radio the phone was shipped with right?

You can just flash the dumped and relock. If you never flashed the radio, or flashed a shipped rom, then you should still have the stock telus radio 1.07.01V
Yes, but if you flash the shipped rom, it will flash the stock radio for you. If you already have the stock sprint rom, then just flash the stock sprint radio 1.03.15F. Then relock it.
