Is there anything at all currently for us to speed this turtle up? I've done a few of the minor registry tweaks we can do. But eh.

Besides the reg tweaks, there's not too much else. At least nothing that matters.

Once the unlocker works, you'll be on you way to enjoying the speed of a custom ROM.

I'm still trying to get the ROME OS ROM installed.

I was able to finally get the HardSPL installed by running the latest manualSSPL. I confirmed that the proper Hard SPL is running.

Then:

- I soft booted the phone
- Plugged it in, and synched with MS Activesync
- I then ran manualSSPL again and I assume put it in bootlogger mode (hope I'm saying that right).
- I ran the ROME OS software and it got to the screen where it said that it was loading the ROM.
- The phone showed 0% as did the computer and then it crapped at out 0%.

I tried it again, same thing.
I tried it again without running the manual SSPL (guessing it might not need it after the phone is "unlocked"), and I never even made it to the ROM loading bar.

Perhaps I'm trying to load a bad ROM for Sprint PCS? What's the best ROM to load for Sprint in the US? While I"m at it, any recommendations for the Radio to load?

Hoping someone can help!

In case it matters - the error I got at 0% was error 262.

i have a xv6850 (RAPH500) with my original bootloader screen showing as follows:
RAPH500
SPL-0.35.0000
MicroP-Raph (LED) v8182
MicroP-Raph (KEY) v0682
PSOC-Raph STAGE_EVT v20

After running Raphael_CDMA_HSPL_037.exe, it goes through, but returns the following error on the PC:
ERROR [244] : INVALID MODEL ID
"This Update Utility cannot be used for your PDA Phone. Please check your Update Utility."

I guess we'll just need to wait for the VzW version. Will donate once available. thanks in advance.

Yes, that's normal. (it will always say that)

first i would recommend flashing back to stock ROM prior to relocking the device.
second that 'tri-color screen' is bootloader, u check your version to see if your unlocked/locked

sounds like your not unlocked, check your bootloader (see step 8 in post #1)

Can I get someone to explain what all this acronyms stand for, i.e. RUU, SPL, etc. I'm new to all this and I REALLY don't want to screw anything up...

RUU = Rom Update Utility
SPL = Bootloader (Second Program Loader - see wiki)
