Yikes. So I flashed to MR1 then tried to relock, and during the relocking process I received the blue screen of death / physical memory dump (on my computer, not the phone). I had activesync established, everything should be good. Of note, however, is the fact that I cannot advance beyond the initial align screen on the phone setup. I touch all the points and then they start over and don't advance.

I am afraid to try again at this point. My phone has not been bricked either time (I can remove the battery and get it to boot up to the setup screen and not the tricolor), but I don't know enough to guarantee this will continue happening. What should I do at this point?

there is no mr1. just mr. are you sure you're doing the correct rom for your phone? show me the file name of the one you're using. and the file name of the relocker too.

Sorry, I was referring to the last download on the stock rom CDMA page. I'm 100% positive that it is for my phone, the Sprint Touch Pro. Before I flashed that one I flashed the ROM on HTC's Sprint Touch Pro page.

Could these issues be due to residual data from previous flashes? Should I look into the "Task 29" / clear storage fix?

did you already check the bootloader screen to verify that your phone has the locked spl version?

sometimes it takes multiple tries doing the align screen. just keep doing it. and make sure you are using a stylus and you're being exact with it.

i would also try pulling the battery for a couple minutes

The bootloader screen says "security unlocked"

SPL-0.37.CMONEX

I believe this means it is still unlocked. I haven't successfully ran the relocker.

I tried doing the align screen probably 5-10 times in a row, it keeps returning to itself. I'll try pulling the battery.

Also, to answer your previous post more thoroughly, the filename for my current ROM flash was Hermann_C_Sprint_WWE_1.03.651.4_RS1.03.15F_SPCS_1. 53_0909_PRL60613_Ship.exe

Tried removing the battery for a few minutes, didn't help with the align screen problem. I decided to give the relocker another shot to no avail as well. The same error occurred as in my first shot at it; ERROR 284, something about communication issues. No blue screen of death though. Also was able to recover from it a third time and now I'm back to the align screen.

I'm thinking that I will have to find some way beyond the align screen to properly set up my phone before relocking will work. A few weeks ago my screen stopped responding to inputs, then after a day or so of not messing with it fixed itself. Just last night the screen seemed to respond to inputs, but only as if I am touching the same spot (bottom right corner) over and over, no matter where I place the stylus. I assume the issue is still happening and is preventing proper alignment of the screen.

Unless I'm given some bright idea my only plan for now is to let it be for a day or so, and hope the screen works its issues out in the mean time.

your screen problem is definitely causing the align screen repeat. are you putting the phone into bootloader mode before attempting the relock? you can relock using your sd card too. http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=61333

As in put it in bootloader mode before I connect it to the computer and establish activesync? Or does that bypass activesync?

How I do it now is: 1. Connect to computer 2. Establish activesync 3. Execute the .exe and run the RUU. The .exe "analyzes" my phone and then remotely enters it into bootloader mode. After about 5 seconds of pause I receive an error in the RUU (error 284). Usually after 5 seconds I enter the gray screen and everything flashes normally.

Should I enter bootloader before I connect it to the comp?

Well, razorloves, entering into bootloader before I connected it to the comp and running the RUU seems to have solved the relocking issue. I'm still stuck at align screen, but I guess that's now something for Sprint to worry about.

Thanks for your help!

you're welcome man. anytime.
yea, as long as you flashed the stock rom and relocked it, it's ready to give back to them.
