I hate being a noob, I don't understand any of this! I wanna flash though, this battery life is killing me, and I wanna customize...

Hi, many posts ago someone asks if this will 'hard-reset' their device. I'm relatively new to ppc and I'm guessing a hard-reset is if all of your data is lost (installed programs, defaults, and contacts'. The answer he received was no - but when I run Raphael_CDMA_HSPL_037.exe it says I will lose all of my data. Which is the case?

Also, will unlocking my phone be a one-time ordeal? Does it save anything to my SD card or is everything saved onto my phone? Thank you.

Run the Hardspl .37....just follow the instructions on the first page you will be fine....it is an exe just run it and follow the on screen instructions....

Even though nothing is done with the SD card, I ALWAYS remove it before flashing just in case... I've lost data too many times. Now I just don't take chances.

Question and problem... Right now I only have a macbook and mac pro as computers. When i am just loading cabs, and transferring files i use Parallels to to run windows XP and its no problem. But whenever I try to load Hard SPL it tells me it doesnt see the phone and there is no connection. I have tried this with Parellels, VMWare, and bootcamp... Any suggestions?

uh... try running it twice since your using a VM, see lvdata's post from earlier in this thread:

I did successfully get back to the tri-color screen and it did show as unlocked with spl 037, so everything did run correctly at the end. Is it possible to adjust that time out to give the unlocker more time to pause while the Plug and play runs? This is also to let others know at least one person was able to unlock a TP with VMware and a XP Host and VM combination. This was NOT a issue when unlocking my older HTC Vogue on the exact same VMware Workstation/XP Host/XP VM setup.

Host XP sp2 with 4 gigs of ram, 2.16ghz Core2duo Dell Latitude D830
VM XP sp2 with 1 gig of ram, 2 cpus for this VM, no other VM's running at the time.

Where can I get the stock SPL-0.37.0000? Is it built into the Relocker?
