ok. thanks a lot for the info.

and maybe you could give me a recommendation: i don't need a ROM with lots of extra third party apps and the stuff. i would like to install a STABLE, FAST & NICE ROM. not too flashy and sophisticated. winmo 6.5 and standard htc + microsoft apps would be enough for me. i don't think my Verizon TP could handle sense 2.5 just because it really sucks! what's more, it's too SLOW:(.

which ROM comes close to my requirements? give me a hand plz.

it's no problem. they've been shipping them with .40 for a while now.

hi folks!

got some questions:

1. can i flash from windows mobile device center on windows 7?

2. is it enough to unlock the device just once or do i have to do it every time before i flash a new rom?

3. what is the correct procedure to flash a quite different (second, third etc. after stock i mean) rom: some say it is NECESSARY to make a hard reset and go back to stock prior to flashing to get rid of unnecessary data, some say it is not so important and you can install a different maker rom and just make a hard reset after you flash it - got some info to share?

1. yes
2. just once
3. the most common method is to just flash the custom rom, then when the phone has finished booting up, go into the settings-system and do Clear Storage. That will perform a hard reset. my opinion is that flashing back to stock is only needed if you're having an odd problem.
