Any sign of a Bootloader?
 

We got anything in the works for the Touch Pro? The Diamond was lucky enough to have it's available before the phone was even out.

That would be a great way to brick it! Each hardspl is made for its own individual devices DO NOT try to use diamond hardspl on touch pro

Please when the CDMA touch pro comes out DO NOT try to use the gsm hard spl on your CDMA touch pro

You were lucky enough to have it before the phone was out because it was released to Telus first.... unfortunately, hardSPL is one of those things that is difficult to do without a device, so...

Believe me, I was the tester for the HSPL, it's a lot of work, and if it wasn't for Oli, Cmonex and no2chem, you'd still be on the stock ROM.

The forum referenced is for a GSM raph, so I wouldn't look there. Have to wait for it to come out for the CDMA dump and then ask Cmonex for another 8 hours of her time:P.

before the sprint device was out. it was made and tested on telus. first cdma diamond to hit public market.

Im more than happy to be a test dummy. I plan to buy a Touch Pro @ full retail next week.

Then I plan to use the information/software acquired here to put it on the VZW network.

Glad you like it, can't wait for you and others to start pumping out the cool stuff. I loved your mogul roms so I cant wait to see what you guys can do with the pro. Unfortunately I have to wait till 11/2 before I can get mines ordered.

Just got my TP last night! and OMFG did they do a pretty job with the interface!

Slow to lock GPS, and seems to be off a couple meters in my area... but still great for the first ROM!

Run Quick GPS u will lock faster I was getting abou 20 second locks on GPS opened quick GPS to see it expired now I am getting 5-7 second locks.

just got my Touch Pro today so i will be posting in the Rafael threads more starting today :D

had to pay retail at BB because i just upgraded to a Diamond, but i will return it, revert to my old contract and get the billing stuff figured out in the next couple weeks.

i was not leaving BB without the Touch Pro!

looking forward to some ROMs and already noticed a different radio. for some reason i cant my internet properly provisioned even after update profile and PRL.

oh...the point of this post was to say that i am willing to test out new stuff too! :D

I just got the touch pro from BB....248.99... ITs slow as Sh!t...Ill volunteer for any custom ROMs also! :headbang:

A little tidbit for no2 or cmonex I wasnt able to readCID off mtty but on bootloader screen it says security unlocked dont know if it that was helpful or not but....

I haven't really heard of any of the masters of unlocking this phone even asking for anyone's help. so i can only assume either they have them, or they don't really care about this phone lol. I just hope im wrong >.<

Yes we are taking donations for a few more for further testing etc but for now since no2chem has one we are started working on the hardspl the more donations we can get the further and faster we can get with all aspects of the project

I am a novice here, and I would like to know what a Bootloader is??? Is there a place that I can goto read what they are and how they are used?

The bootloader is just what the name would suggest, a loader during the boot process. Long story short, it's called from the radio's bootloader once it reaches a certain point and begins to kick off the windows launch process. It checks back to the radio for it's version and is what allows certain key combinations to hard reset your phone or to enter the "bootloader" screen. Once there you can talk to it over a serial or usb link and send basic commands. Nothing you will want to mess with unless you want to learn just for the sake of it (like most technical guys!). One thing it does it flashing the new bootloaders, radios, screen splashes, or roms. Typically from htc is will not flash anything that is not "authenticated" as a official release. But the hard-spl or other spl hacks eliminate this and convince the device it's all ok. Furthermore it checks if the CID of the device (a text string) matches a certain one, and if not might block it. SuperCID is a wild card which unlocks most rom flashes.
