Re: [ROM][WWE][09/13/10] swinnROM 6.5.x 23563/23138/21914 [KITCHEN][CLEAN]

I have updated the COM3 ROM to 23138. From my testing it has fixed the reply-to bug.

Thanks Swinn that did fix the problem.

The only other issue I have been having for the past several builds is the notification enhancement. When I try and connect a new bluetooth device the notification pops up and flashes quickly back and forth - I can't even hit YES to connect. The hide button is unresponsive as well.

My workaround has been to tap the top bar which brings down the notification icons, tap on the bluetooth icon and continue to connect from there.

Not a big deal because I don't connect new devices often, but after flashing your latest 23138 I ran into the issue again.

Thanks again for continuing to update.

Re: [ROM][WWE][09/13/10] swinnROM 6.5.x 23563/23138/21914 [KITCHEN][CLEAN]

I'm using a US Cellular Touch Pro and every time I hit (function+L) trying to get a colon ":" instead I get a semicolon ";" There are a couple other keys miss mapped and I was wondering if there was a way to fix it. I have tried installing a carrier cab but that didn't work. If I flash back to the US Cellular Factory ROM it fixes the problem but only until I flash the 21914 generic ROM again. Any idea's? Thanks.

I tested it on the phones here and couldn't duplicate it, but I don't have a US Cellular phone. I'll take a look at the factory rom and see if I can find anything. Until then you can remap any key you want using the keyboard config in settings.

I'll try that. I looked at the keyboard config but was too intimidated to try and change anything. Thanks again!

I updated the 23132 to 23138 which fixed the email and sms reply to bug. I use 23563.. I don't see any difference in the builds other than threaded email.

I appreciate that you have taken the time to detail OEM and SYS files included. It is helping me a great deal as I learn to build my own ROM (using a diff kitchen & 23563 sys) and quide me on which items have importance. It appears that you do NOT use HTC's notification enhancement module and I wish to confirm this. I have excluded it from a recent build and now running into a quirky issue with alarms not waking up the screen when they occur. They go off as expected but the screen remains dark rather than lighting up. I am wondering if I need the notification module after all. Thoughts?

I do not use the notification package. I checked and looks like I didn't include it in the kitchen either so you'll have to find the package if you need it. Might be easiest to just pull it from one of the official roms.

Re: [ROM][WWE][09/13/10] swinnROM 6.5.x 23563/23138/21914 [KITCHEN][CLEAN]

Have you tried alarms on your rom builds and do they work as expected (i.e. do they fire off and light the screen with your alarm description/notification? On my rom it is as stated with the exception my screen is not lighting up when the alarm comes on. If I hit the power button my screen lights and I can disable the alarm then. I do have the lock screen enabled so I am wondering if I it could be that? Thanks for responding to my inquiries!
