any idea why the version of s2u2 in the kitchen doesn't switch from landscape to portrait and vice versa? it stays in whatever state it was loaded in.

There is a setting in s2u2 that says ignore screen rotation. Scott always had it turned off by default. But, you can go in and change it. Some people have had problems with the device freezing upon screen rotation so he just disabled it.

Try Com4 and Baude 4800.

Re: SSK: Redistributed

It doesn't seem to work for me either.

I ran the PPST 2.01 file under the SSK folder, used Com4 and 4800 baud on the HTC GPS tool, all with no luck.

I used the version 3 preview manilla free ROM.

Any ideas? I very much appreciate you putting this up.

Re: SSK: Redistributed

Just a quick question. After you guys run the PPST2.01 do you then do into the windows folder and run the ppst file there? I should make you soft reset after you run it.

Re: SSK: Redistributed

I tried that...still no luck for me.

GoogleMaps can't locate any satellites, and the HTC GPS test tool only spits back the 50,50,50, values after you open the port.

Re: SSK: Redistributed

Don't forget to turn location services on. settings->phone->services tab->locations settings. I think that's the path(coming from memory). By default it's set for just "911".
