Re: Vetvito's Sexier Windows Mobile 6.5.6

The rom is much better on my other touch pro... It may be the nuerom overclocking doesnt quite turn off on boot up. it kept booting up while visually stuck @ the startup screen.

Currently running smoothly landscape toggles properly! Finger friendly. Haven't crashed yet!

>>>> added Feb 9... HTC sense 2.5 locks up and thus requires a reset... This phone will also not complete boot up visually ... I'm trying to use default on processing settings. As all intermittent problems, it takes some time... but the symptoms do match overclocking related symptoms. Sometimes it boots up other times it takes 6 or 7 tries.. (basically forever if you need your phone )

The phone is booted but visually stuck... I know this because a the func, caps often light up properly and wifi router if enabled will show the vbot computer to computer access point.

"Processor" setting only shows 0.00 mHz... perhaps this should be deleted from rom?

I love landscape mode... (of course why else would you have a keyboard slider!!)

The larger Icons are a better mattch for the touchpros small screen and anyone with slightly older eyes.

The landscape font is having problems with smoothing... A bit jaggy.. considering other options dont even have landscape this is not a dealbreaker at all.

Its not crazy stable... I was editing one of 500 contacts and it locked up... I do like the facebook integration however you should be able to choose the profile picture (either lock one that you choose, or have 2 pics one that you choose one that FB chooses)

At this point the phone is locking again @ the boot screen does anyone think that could be because it's not activated? This is within 20 min of a fresh flash (from SD card) I can get a htc sense shutdown screen to pop up.. (it doesn't respond)... it may be booted but not changing the screen display...

Re: Vetvito's Sexier Windows Mobile 6.5.6

I'm having none of the processor issues. After a fresh install I go into Processor and I basically create my own profile. I don't do any sort of overclocking, but I do a helluva lot of underclocking. On suspend I drop my processor down to the 20 Mhz marker, and on backlighting going off I'm at around 100, and for default boot it's at 528 along with no timer of idleness dropping the processor. While it's on I want it full blast, while it's backlight is present (I'm not doing anything) or it is fully on suspend I want it saving me battery.

The problems I do have:
1) Calling takes dramatic battery, way more than anything else. Doesn't matter a super amount to me as I don't really call anyone I do text/internet/etc. Is this the radio that was picked? So I can prolly try hunting down a different radio that might not drain this fast for calls... but if not, no biggie.

2) The start menu at the bottom hasn't really been something I like, can I remove this? It creates problems with some things that pop up trying to use that space but instead get blocked by the bottom slider task bar. I'd rather just remove it, if that's possible or a setting to change in the ROM itself? I have lots of appointments and they show it the most.

3) Task manager, if this is related to #2 by all means tell me. I'd rather have it accessible from the upper right. Whenever the start menu in any rom gets put on the bottom like this one, the press 'x' to end task doesn't work on most programs. So I think I've closed stuff and nope, still there eating juice behind the scenes. If there's a way to get this back to the upper right or to have X down at the bottom to function appropriately I'd be much obliged.

Otherwise I've been digging it, just might go back to v001 where the start was on the top and most of these things worked properly for me (except text messaging in landscape was sometimes a bit funny).

Re: Vetvito's Sexier Windows Mobile Landscape Sense 2.5

I tried 23568 last night and my phone got stuck at the POST page (dunno if it is called this but the first page).

I flashed it back to another ROM and it worked then I tried Vetvitos ROM again and it had the same error. I ended up flashing NSFANs latest March ROM and everything is fine.

Any thoughts on what went wrong?

(I have a Verizon TP)

This rom should be perfect for Verizon because the page pool is set at 6. I extracted the nbh and increased it to 24 because I'm on Sprint. Then I flashed from the SD card.

The only issue I had after flashing was a blank screen with a toolbar below when sending a message from a contact. I loaded the attached cab and it works fine now.

Re: Vetvito's Sexier Windows Mobile Landscape Sense 2.5

I love this ROM, it runs great except for soft resets. When I soft reset the phone, the device locks on the POST screen, and I had to reflash it in order for it to work again. On the last flash though, it locked on the POST and won't let me go through the initial setup anymore. Hope this is fixed soon, because so far, this has been my favorite ROM.
