I recall Captn'Throwback over @ XDA and ED/TP having a similar issue. Ive really been concerning myself with the BASE SYS as of late. I dont use too many apps. The ROM is LOADED for the Public. Thought out Loud ... The more I use it the More I HATE opera10 beta. It looks good, loads fast, but thats it ... Its like a diseased stripper, looks good, but you dont want whats inside.

So far loving this rom but....
I hate the task manager.... or I should say I'm apparently too stupid to understand how to use it even with your posted pictures.
What happened to the simple X you click and close apps.... geez... why did everyone have to fix what wasn't broke?

I'm thinkiing you may need 4 more batteries.... i've lost 40% power in 1 hour and i've made one phone call. more time will tell...

lol... the task mgr ... I needed something that closed programs w/ X on the bottom. So that when you click the X things close. Why...because it IS broke for the newer builds of Windows Mobile!!! Xhook runs in the backround and if you cant config it .. COOL. It'll do its thing and you should'nt get into any trouble. When you do it right you WILL SEE the line... like a swype trace path.. and the green txt hotspots should come up. So for i only need to manually close is album and then only in manila. Everything else closes ok. That lil program is doing the manila fix too for this build. If you're in manila... you can see the icon, just drag from the icon to the middle of the screen. Better said drag from the icon to the hotspot you want... task man, close... fileman.. what have you. It'll be obvious when you got it... you'll be drawing a line on your screen.

The good thing is...You can always see running tasks ... and they're In the Taskbar. You'll See if you need to manually close something and the start drag spot will be MUCH easier to find..lol. A good place to play2learn is the compose sms. practice dragging from the open app (the mail icon in taskbar) to the middle, then over where you want to go.

EDIT: ... Yeah I think Pushed the gas a lil hard on this one ... knew this speed was gonna cost a bit. Gotta put some caps on things. Leaving windows full reign over ram allocation has NEVER been a good idea. At this point... reducing the PP will probably save some battery life .... but since were running full dynamic cache, might as well go dynamic PP too. May be whats needed to get the battery life in order cause the speed is crazzzzzzyy

Have you ever looked at Quickmenu? Does the task mgr stuff and lets you close the programs with the X.

@blokgang... that setting is where its SUPPOSED to be...Settings\ Personal \Buttons. I normally reg that disabled. gotta clean my kitchen a bit.

@skydve...I know quick menu ... It doesnt do what xtask does. xtask does what quickmenu does and a whole lot more. For 1 .. w/xtask you taskbar is more like win start bar... you can press the icon to minimize app or switch directly in between. It has the filemgr ... whick looks GREAT with small icons!! It has ALL the tsk mgr functions of dutty task mgr. Seriously .... outside of the REALLY bad english (developer is chinese) Xtask is da Shhh...

when MS moved the close button... they broke alot of tskmgrs INCLUDING their own. Simply stated all a tskmgr does is tell WM.. if someone touches top right corner then close the open program. WM doesnt automatically start to close programs until ram if full. We need a tskmgs that says..."when someone touches bottom right corner then close program" xtask does that. And as said earlier it IS running from flash... doing its thing right now. The only time you'll see it by default is when a program RUNS.

Thank You... *sigh* Confirmed Bug. Cannot add appointments in manila ONLY. Back 2 tha lab for me. Looks like you guys may be getting the new com 5-ness or a hybrid build from me next. Beta testers/ Guinea pigs needed lol. Pm to request to be a tester.

@gizelle... family first bro.. glad to have u bak. Apparently im cooking 2day. You may have upto 4 different Roms to test as my plan is to play a bit more w/the cache strategy. I may release 2 versions of the SAME ROM with different cache mgmt. I turned the phone into a gas guzzling hot rod LOL.

I've been thinking about the xtask/xhook learing curve. As a former teacher I SAW this coming. I'm not really open to switching to a new tskmgr. Xtask is really just too good. If many others are having difficulty with it ... I may just post an instructional vid.

Finally ... ouside of the minor annoyances of upgrades, My kitchen is close to how I'd like it. So, Im ready to update some eye-candy. If you see any icon sets / wallpaper or other cool stuff you'd like to see in a rom... Send the suggestion... I WILL check it out.

Fix ETA 6-10 hrs from THIS POST last edit time, I would just rollback and hoxfix but there's a few updates that deserve to be done.

i turned auto send receive mail off...and auto receive weather off...but for some reason something still wants to access data and it drains my battery fatser with my data connection always up....any idea what could need outside info other than mail and weather? i havent installed any other programs yet
