I looked at the link you sent me and that isn't quite what my issue is. I actually want something that will leave the screen on the dialpad, rather than putting me to the call status screen. Any time I make an outbound call or answer incoming calls it hides the dialpad and takes me to the call status screen. I'm looking to see if there is a version that leaves the screen on dialpad until/unless I give it another command. Thanks for answering what you thought I was asking, but hopefully that clarifies my request. a little bit. So anyone with ideas on this?

In the second quote above I think you are referring to Pocket Sheild when you're saying "Refresh my memory." Pocket Sheild (or PS) is an app that protects the phone from accidentally changing anything on your phone.

It has all sorts of settings for providing it's own slide2answer with a picture of the person calling during their call, it has options for locking screen or not during calls. it can auto lock your phone when it doesn't sense light (like if you put it in your pocket) and auto unlock at a certain light threshhold. It can even control whether sms or appointment notifications wake up or unlock the phone.

I think I paid like $7 bucks for it or something so it's one of the cheaper apps out there but really offers a lot of protection from accidentally pressing ANY buttons on your phone by accident. So that's why us PS users are looking for something that doesn't have any locking protection, because the extra features of PS are AWESOME but redundant locking is kind of annoying. Thanks again for all your work.

Last night I installed your latest ROM (1/25/10) and used it for a few hours without any problems. So next I tried Pocketshield and the dialer is not hanging up (no pun intended) while receiving calls. All seems good!

I did find a boring non-slider dialer that works this morning. You sure you all don't want an original diamond dialer?

edit: Actually this morning I cleaned out all my old kitchens and found all sort of goodies. Anyone want a super-bloated rom?

Awesome Rom....but im having a issue that i cant see the keypad button when on a call. its below the bottom bar. other that that working great for daily use. A bloated rom would be cool.

I'll look next time I get a call. I'm thinking about a 1 time bloated rom while I have everything working...

Install the "bgmod" cab attached to post #2.

well just call voice mail...and when you go to hit #1 you cant get to the keypad.

Hitting the black key that says "Keyboard" doesn't work?
