Very true.
My fav is by far VolumeX
They just released a new update.
It is not free but it does have unlimited trial use.
All it will do it pop up a trial message sometimes.
New update fixed many bugs including the one asking to save settings on every soft reset.

Thanks for the VolumeX idea. I already use PocketShield and I saw that both are on sale this weekend for half off.

Volumex also is skinable and comes with a great black skin I use with my DarkRoot and a perfect white skin I use on my WhiteRoot.
Great app and it remembers your settings.

Just here to say how boss the Sense 2.1 ROM is. Been using it for months now and it's very stable and fast. Still some problems, but not many. The flasher inside of me would love to see an updated 2.1 ROM from ahuskins, though.

And also a reminder: DO NOT USE CLEANRAM. All it does is introduce a whole host of problems with your phone. It makes it incredibly sluggish and unresponsive.

Have you tried SKI 2.5 w/Landscape? I know it's a little "bigger" but it's da-yum fast and rock steady. Satisfy the flasher in you and take it for a spin
Dont know about Bell but IMO for Sprint I think the latest 2.5's make the 2.1 obsolete.

Re: [ROM] SKI-ROM Build 031410 CE OS 5.2.23542 M2.5.2012/M2.1 - Sashimi Compliant

Just flashed the newest Sense 2.5 ROM. Sexy as hell. Couple issues off the initial flash being:

Appointments are not showing on the home page. When I go to the calendar tab, the appointments will be there for a split second, then flash off. In month view, the little white corner marks for each day will be there for half a second and then go away. In week view, the appointment will show for half a second, then flash away.
^note, I didn't have this problem when I initially flashed.

Can't seem to figure out how to turn off the ticking sound when you are typing.

It's seriously a shame because I really really really like it, but how would I be able to live without appointments?
