looks like there is no keyboard typing sound settings. i tried searching through every folder. maybe it's hidden

Go to Start-Settings-Sounds and Notification. Check Screen Taps and or Hardware buttons. Hope this is the answer you are searching for.

That and if you want the sliding sounds too when you open or close the keyboard, go to Start-Settings-Personal and click on the "Keyboard Sliding Sounds" lnk.
