The NEW programs shortcut is on the taskbar now.
Get to it just as you would if you clicked the old start menu.

No, the top left.
It will say START and have 24 shortcuts there.
Get right to your apps without scrolling.
Get to them from any tab.
Seems to work better for me.
Faster and less amount of clicks or slides.

@sharkie-dont know what you're used to Bro but this Program menu is killer (pun intended )
Look at the very last Ninja screenshot on the first post. Tap the upper Left corner and that is what you get-great!!
btw-you will get black font on black/dark background like root says, one example is here when you hit All Programs, no biggie IMO esp in the Program list with icons.

I still prefer a tab, but to each his own. Man, I just checked out those screenshots of NinjaROM again and as much as I like running my own ROMs these days, I'm definitely gonna have to rock NinjaROM for a bit! It looks insane! Awesome awesome work dude!

One of the reasons I was so happy w/WM builds 23xxx is that I didn't have to mess w/the little ass taskbars anymore. The programs tab in the top left just brings me back to the big fingers, little places to tap issue. However, NinjaROM looks like it'd be worth dealing with. Anyway, I can always add the tab if I want.

Give 'er a flash Bro, I dont consider my fingers small and I'm having no trouble smashing that badboy! Seriously though, the "strikezone" seems very large.

Dont forget to flip it over into LANDSCAPE (Hello Old Friend ) for more awesomeness.

FYI-I did need a Quick GPS update to get My Location to go, could've been just me though, just wanted to throw it out there, just in case.

Yeah, the clickable zone to hit the START shortcuts is pretty large.
It doesn't take any effort at all to bring it up.
Just a random finger click in that general area will do it.
It goes all the way to the left edge and almost all the way to the icons on the right.
