Re: mobile browser view?
My husband got one yesterday and today while trying to go to a site that had a mobile format as well as desktop it auto directed me to the mobile. I too checked the settings where I normally would have unchecked mobile view on my hero and didn't find it either. I even tried about:config and about:debug with no luck. Anyone find a way around this yet? The site I was going to didn't have a link for desktop view so I couldn't do that.

Re: mobile browser view?
found this answer at xda... by shep211
Open the browser then type in about:debug and hit enter. It wont do anything after hitting enter but if you go into options you will now have a option to change the UAString from mobile to desktop. The option is at the bottom of the option list. not said at xda though, this doesnt seem to be permanent. resets everytime you close the browser...

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (Linux; U; Android 2.1-update1; en-us; SPH-D700 Build/ECLAIR) AppleWebKit/530.17 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/4.0 Mobile Safari/530.17)
Ya. And dolphin. On android it just seems like a browser is a browser is a browser. I don't see much difference in any of them. I'm deffinitly having less fun than the first week of the touch pro 2. Or the touch pro. |
