It's one of the options in the recovery menu. Just select it and go.

working and i have to say thanks bro it took me a min to get up the balls to root but i think its great....what should my settings be for overclocking?

800Mhz seems to be universally stable. Fluctuations in manufacturing processes make it so that some cpus perform better at different speeds and voltages.

Mine is perfectly stable at 1200mhz but due to battery life I like to run it at 900mhz

Don't tell it you are overclocking a droid, tell it to autodetect.

If you're running Adamz' rom and you have setcpu you need to do a couple things:

-Open setCPU
-tap the Menu button (soft key)
-select "Device Selection'
-select 'autodetect speeds'

You'll then be able to move your slider around on the main setCPU screen.

getting very frustrated. rooted my droid. read thru all sorts of forum posts for almost 2 weeks now and still seem to be missing something trying to learn changing to a new rom. for example - following the directions from, http://alldroid.org/threads/16302-RO...roid-2.1-ESE53) - steps 5 and 6, i don't have the options for - Select "Backup/Restore" or Select "Advanced Nandroid Backup"... wtf am i missing? i'm sure it something that will make me feel stupid when pointed out, but some help PLEASE. many thanks



ok. after calming down thru having a play session with my son at the park, went back thru bookmarked forums and some youtube how-to videos and think i've got it figured out. will post again soon

How does this rom perform compared to droidmod rom at stock speeds? I've like the droidmod rom but it has some quirks that annoy me, but I don't want to move to a lower performing rom.
