Thanks.

I am very thankful for nand backups. I finally gave up on 2.1.1 and went back to 2.0d.

Any one have any idea why I kept cycling at the splash screen?

To try to fix this I wiped my device and and reflashed 3 times before I gave up.

Thanks again.

Not really sure why you kept going in a reboot loop. I had an issue with Fresh Toast 2.1, where that little dancing Android froze on me. I had to pull the battery, and then restart. Everything loaded fine after that. Try Fresh Toast, and see if that's any better. Besides, it's much faster than the 2.1.1, anyway....

I'm getting a force close on HTC Sense launcher. ONLY the Nexus will load. I actually like the Nexus launcher but I don't see the option to put the big digital clock widget on homescreen. Is it me or it just doesn't come with it? I'm alse getting force closes on something about media. grr

I like this ROM though.

If you want a clock just like the HTC one, you can get the Flip Clock Widget - Large. It looks just like the clock, but doesn't have weather. There is the beautiful widgets program, which is like $1.50-2, but will have what you need. Also, do a search for Flip Clock in the market. There are a few other 4 x 2 clock widgets in the market.

I can't find it in the market, but intuitit makes a flip clock beta, but does not have weather.

If you have the barcode scanner, you can download it straight to your phone.

According to the market synopsis, Beautiful widgets has weather animations. They may not match with HTC's animations (HTC made them change their clock a while back), but you should see rain, snow, sun, etc. The program is 1.49 Euros, which is close to $2 US. There are also some youtube videos with reviews, so you can get more info there.

Can someone explain what the Nexus Launcher is? I see everyone talking about it but I have no clue what it is.

It's just that. The home screen replacement the Nexus One uses. The sense ui devices have 7 home screens, and access to HTC widgets, as well as all android widgets.

To use another home manager, go to settings/applications/manage applications, and look for HTC Sense. Click on HTC Sense, and click the button that says "Set as Default" (not sure on the exact wording, but Default is in there somewhere). When you hit the home button, a popup will show, asking what home you want. Select "Launcher Pro". You will initially only have 3 screens, but hitting menu, and prefrences will allow you to customize. You will have the nexus one bottom bar, and the program animations the nexus has. It's basically using vanilla android, with the sense ui lock screen.
