Re: [CDMA KERNEL ROM]Gumbo Kernel beta project + RAM hack

Finally! I got it working. Apparently I miss-read the dev.s page and installed the Droid SU update...... HA...yep , This guy. Well I just uninstalled it and put my old one back on and viola it works just as promised. I'm running Sprint HTC HERO w/ TTGs rom, post #1 (this thread) Kernel and SetCPU running on ondemand , set on boot. I'll be charging to full battery in a little bit, soft reset and report my finds either tonight or tomorrow depending on how long my duty last today ( Navy ). Thanks for the help getting me up and running guys.

Re: [CDMA KERNEL ROM]Gumbo Kernel beta project + RAM hack

Anyone else feel like their phone was faster before installing setPCU? I flashed the kernel, and thought it was super fast, then once I installed setPCU and went with 528 max, 245 min ONDEMAND I feel like it's back to how it used to be. Also, didn't notice much change in battery life. Although it's hard to be sure about changes any how unless there is some way to test them. thanks for feedback.

1 hour 10 min of sleep brought me down from 100% to 98% bat
1 hour 20 min of use (after the 1 hour 10 min of sleep) of straight Pandora streaming and facebook widget running ,digital clock running, bat life widget running. brought me down and additional 16% (from 98% to 72%) I'd say a pretty decent change from my normal horrible bat life.

Re: [CDMA KERNEL ROM]Gumbo Kernel beta project + RAM hack

SetCPU has been updated. Again it is free for XDA users, but when I get a chance I will probably buy it. Anyway it is in this thread.

Re: [CDMA KERNEL ROM]Gumbo Kernel beta project + RAM hack

Just to add to this thread...ive been around a long time and installed hundreds of roms for different OS's and never seen such a dramatic speed increase like I have with this kernel + ttg. Great job guys!
