Just wondering because yesterday I sent my gf a text (once I send one I can expect about three back within two mins) and didn't receive anything back. She came home for lunch and I had her send another which I didn't get.

I had installed last.fm right before I stopped receiving them (had no clue why that would affect text messages but that's how I troubleshoot) so I uninstalled it, rebooted and they began working again. It was probably just the reboot.

So I'm wondering if it's from the kernel (less aggressive on fresh 1.1) or if it was just an isolated incident.
It was in and out. I wouldn't get them for a while then I'd get a few. I wouldn't get the old ones and a reboot was never attempted as a fix. I just installed Fresh.

Re: [CDMA KERNEL ROM]Gumbo Kernel beta project + RAM hack

Hmmm. I cant rule out the original text message problem where if you have too much installed, the phone has text issues. I had text issues today after removing the kernel. It did go a couple days without issue, but I did add a couple programs yesterday, not enough to make the phone force close crazy on reboot, but it may have been enough to cause txt issues.

Wait, does fresh use a modified kernel too? That might also be a cause then as well.

I have never had this issue and have been running this kernel for about 3 weeks now. Weird. Also, i know for a fact wether or not i get texts beause i'm using google voice and have give me a notification from both messaging AND voice solely to prevent this issue.

Aesop!

Word, I haven't had that issue since, so who knows. Are you using the regular or less aggressive?

Do you use last.fm? If so, does your last.fm widget function? Mine works when I first put in on the screen, but if i try it again 15 mins later, it no longer works --doesn't respond.

Re: [CDMA KERNEL ROM]Gumbo Kernel beta project + RAM hack

last.fm makes me

I wonder if anyone has extracted the newer kernel from 1.5c?

I'd like that!

Yeah. I'm not sure what kind of changes he made but it's a different kernel. .32, I think.
