Is anyone else experiencing force closes? Please help before I wipe my hero

I'm still scared. I had problems with lag after flashing the 1.5.2 recovery image from stock last time (1st time for me) then to fresh 1.1 (don't think it had anything to do with fresh's rom), so I went back to stock.

If I try out any custom rom, it will be this one, though.


I'm actually ok with rooted stock right now, but I wish I could remove some of the bloatware included without the recovery image.

Its definitely a lot faster than stock?

Use freshs kitchen to remove the bloatware.

Don't have to have the recovery image loaded?

Anyway, just tried removing 'Stocks' with his kitchen and it was still there after it rebooted.

Do you have more than 70 apps installed?

I dont know if you have to have the recovery image to remove the stock programs. As long as you are rooted, you should be able to remove.

EDIT: Are you having a problem installing the recovery image?

No. I did when I first got the phone then flashed a custom rom, but was having some problems so I went back to stock.

I'm kind of interested in this rom, but I'm a hesitant. If I have wifi 1.70 pre installed and flash this rom, will it uninstall that and install 1.60 final?

I guess I still don't really understand the process. Just came from winmo a couple weeks ago.

I am rooted however (had to have wifi tethering).

Flashing on the Hero is so much better. It doesnt mess with your already installed programs, your home screens stay the same.
