Re: [RUU] RUU_Hero_C_Sprint_1.56.651.2_signed_release.exe
Ive been having mayor issues trying to use the RUU on my Hero which I bought the week it came out.. strange enough it has a 'with google' battery door on it.
Anyways, im using windows 7 x64 and no matter what I tried so far it would always get stuck when it reboots into bootloader.. The phone would reboot but get stuck at the HTC logo and never go into bootloader.. The RUU would timeout when waiting for bootloader and error out. Tonight I was messing with a few things from this post.. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=630841 I tried all of them and it still was stuck at bootloader.. So then I put the phone into fastboot mode and plugged it into my pc. Then I went into device manager and manually updated the drivers to the ones found on this site.. http://www.mydigitallife.info/2009/0...-in-windows-7/ After updating the above drivers while the phone was in bootloader connected to my pc the RUU WORKED!! I dont know if it was a combination of those other suggestions @ xda but it worked !! Just wanted to post my success in the hopes it will help someone out.

Here is the pic from the Hero when I disconnect the USB cord after receiving the error message. It appears that the [3] Radio_VZ is what failed.

Now my phone won't start up at all unless connected to the USB. Help, I hope I haven't bricked this phone.
