Figured it out...The radio wouldn't flash because I was using clockwork recovery. I switched to AmanRA and it worked no problem...thanks FLIPZ

Yeah this rom is chugging the battery, but so does cm7 and omjs latest....grumble grumble

I'm running Fresh EVO 4.2.0.0 and can't update PRL or profile. This has been an issue since I moved to Gingerbread.

I was initially on Clockwork recovery - downgraded to an older version in order to flash the latest radio/wimax/pri...I checked the versions, and I am running the latest. Moved to AmenRa but still can't update the PRL or profile.

Any ideas?

It gets worse. I called Customer Service to see whether they could push a PRL update. I didn't want to tell them too much or let them figure out that my phone is rooted, so I just asked them to push the update. They told me that they "couldn't see my phone" which makes no sense - I am able to make calls and can get on the Internet - so they pushed the PRL...which continued to fail.

I'd like to update my PRL as I've been traveling and I'm burning a lot of battery lately.

Adding to the saga in case it is instructive to others.

Did a full Titanium Backup, then wiped everything - dalvik-cache, all data - then booted. Phone re-provisioned fine. I was able to update the PRL to 60679 and update the profile.

Reinstalled all my old apps. Had a bit of trouble with Google Maps that was rectified once I cleared cache.

Everything looked good, but just for kicks I tried updating profile/PRL. When I try "Update Profile" now I get a blank screen. Updating PRL doesn't work either. This seems to be happening on other ROMs as well. No sweat as I've gotten the PRL update that I need...will just remember to do the occasional wipe. Thank goodness for TB!
