I just switched voicemail over to google voice. It gets rid of those annoying 9016 messages and it's actually a better vm system. you guys should check it out if you haven't already.

I've also read about the market not showing up over on the mikg forums. A proper wipe and reflash fixes that problem. You guys should try vr superwipe.

well v1.0 of miks was out last night...

VVM bugs still exist along with bogus VM notification
weather animations still lack sound and are off the screen

one more crappy piece of news is the new OTA only has sense 1.0... hopefully that kernel is nice

Thanks to Virus... we have a universal kernel now...that FIXES brightness!!

edit- removed link.. new kernel hoses wifi!

Can I just flash this zip or does it have to be cooked into a new rom by OMJ?

I flashed it from recovery....

I'm sure OMJ will cook in on a later rev...

edit... new kernel seems to break wifi... standby.. might need to pull the new driver out the new rom.

Hope OMJ can cook this in today. This brightness bug is a pita.

Well.. some work needs done first.. since wifi and 4g break on that kernel..

I swear we can't get a break.. crappy OTA... kernel that fixes brightness but breaks wifi and 4g... no source code yet..

um...i need both...i use heavy data. I think ill just wait til OMJ tinkers with it. THanks for the heads up. I nearly flashed it.... how does it feel to be able to lower the brightness? I always kept mine at a quarter.

oh.. it works great. other than the wifi/4g issue. I just flashed back the previous kernel and it all started working fine. Also, the new radio and pri work fine with no apparent issues.

yep, hit the right softkey, then lockscreen, choose lockscreen, then hit settings
