If youre not partitioned you may want to try that. Or re-partition. Could be that the partition for the apps got corrupted between flashes? Remember to back everything up to your computer before you partition though

If you are using a2sd with an ext partition... You should not have any apps manually moved to sd under "manage applications". That would counterproductive and would break certain widgets. If using a2sd the phone will be best thinking all of its apps are on the phone since the ext partition has neen sym-linked to so that the phone believes that is its internal storage.

Anyone know if there is a newer market out there? I want to test out the new Titanium backup auto update market apps feature. The newest TB shows that it wont work with my market.

Unable to send mms. First time this has happened with me on any of the roms. I tried with both the stock messenger and handcent. Any ideas guys?

Also, tried with 3g and wifi. No dice.

Also, still having the weather widget not being able to find my location issue. Help please?

I didnt do one initially, but, I just reflashed the exact same download and the location is showing up fine now and mms is sending on wifi and 3g.

However, this time, the market is missing. Im going to reflash again and see what happens this time lol. Very strange behavior.

edit:

clear data and wipe... now all the stuff thats supposed to be there is there. This time the swype keyboard opened up on default. Weird how things change after each wipe/flash

Im using clockworkmod rom manager to wipe. Initially I did a backup in clockworkmod. Then booted into recovery and wipe data and cache. Then install new rom from sd card in recovery. Ive heard people say to use amonra recovery instead and that theres a way to do it through clockworkmod (flash alternate recovery) but Ive never had that option.

Has anyone else had an issue with the phone slowing down or lagging when clicking or opening email or other apps? After installing this new updated gingerbread rom on my phone the phone was faster and smoother but now it is slow at opening windows like gmail or the internet. I guess I can deal with it till June 24th when I get my evo3d but if there is a fix it would help in the meantime.

I had the same question. Thanks for asking hypeo. I flashed mik's v1.1 yesterday and had to redo this step. Not sure why I had to flash. That HTC Hub was calling me and I don't even care to use it! Lol. Damn it sucks to be a flashaholic sometimes. I only restore apps through TB as well. I have to set up all my accts and configure my home screens on every flash. I've got issues.

I was going to flash last night too but I has to spend some quality time with the fam.. I guess I'll do it today..

Did Mik added that line to the file?

I've been using this ROM for a couple of days now and the first day I was having issues moving app to SD card, constant sense re-start, and issues with the keyboard when typing but all of these when away when I re-flash the rom again manually instead of using the ROM manager express way. So far the only issue that I have is updating the Radios, whenever I boot into recovery to flash the radio.zip it flashes the zip in less than one second, I'm not sure if I'm doing something wrong. I would truly appreciate it if I can get some help with, other then this this ROM is 99.99 perfect for me.

@OMJ any chance we'll see sense 3.0 on OG EVO? Thanks for your great work.

I had the same problem you did, I was able to fix it be renaming the radio zip to pc36img.zip and placing it at the root of the SD card, I then did a reboot into the bootloader...when the bootload loads up it will look for the zip and should ask if you want to flash. hit yes, and it will start the flash process (takes about 30 seconds or so?)

Reboot and radios should be installed

I had the same issue - switch to Amon Ra recovery and finally got it to update. Sticking with Amon from here on out. didn't try to rename the zip though that might of worked.

I am having a huge issue with battery life. My battery is dying in 3-4 hours after leaving my phone completely idle. I am currently on OMJ 1.6 but I honestly do not think that is the problem. Can someone direct me on how I can find out what app/apps are causing this severe battery drain? New programs I can recall installing are "What app" and "Tikl".. Thanks in advance

Battery life is actually a lot better on this ROM than in the past. You have to let it drain completely a time or two. When you do a full wipe, you wipe the battery stats as well. The battery has to recondition itself or something like that. Anyway, you should notice better battery life after it drains and you recharge it. Remember you can dim your brightness now. that's helping me out a ton in the battery dept.

I've actually notice my battery life was a lot worse before I even updated to OMJ 1.6... Is there anything else I can try to get my battery life back to what it used to be?

I think it has to be an app, unless there is something Im missing completely.

Recap: my battery was fine on older OMJ rom... I stayed on same OMJ rom and battery all of a sudden wouldn't even last 4 hours on standby.. I updated to OMJ latest rom just cause and battery is still horrible

I find it odd they would immediately update so quickly, but then again, why not include sense 2.1 in the OTA that just came out......when the Shift is getting sense 2.1...who knows, we'll just have to see

if it's not true, I'll cook up a 4.22.651.2 version to update this ROM, but I wont be using it as my daily.....sense 2.1 & 3.0 are too nice....but I wouldn't be surprised if mik or someone else port sense 2.1 to the new OTA, then I may jump on it.

I havent been following the progress on the 3.0 port, honestly 2.1 has alot of the same features, and with the 3.0 lockscreen, it's damn close

With 1.02 out I'm assuming that OMJ will cook up another ROM. Should be pretty easy I would think.

yankees45us 06-07-2011 12:03 AM

If I was going to keep this phone for more than a month then I would love to see some fixes in future updates but since I just found out I can renew and get full discount I'm looking forward to seeing what kind of rom omj can cook on the evo 3d.

On a side note, wirefly has the evo 3d for preorder and no sales tax in some states for only $179.99. So far thats the best price I've seen. Maybe when its released amazon will match it or beat it.

I wanted to post some findings of mine regarding apps that install to SD on restore.

I have a2sd working and while most apps automatically go there on restore, i've noticed that a few apps have historically re-installed and had the check box checked to install to the SD card. Apps2sd style. Since I'm using a2sd I want that box unchecked and for the phone to think it's installed on internal memory (which by way of a2sd is sym-linked to the EXT partition).

The problem appeared today when I tried to uncheck those few apps and have them move back to the phone (a2sd EXT partition). I got an error about not having free space. I have 270mb internal phone memory free and 533mb EXT partition free.

I uninstalled the apps and re-installed just the APK (no data). I went back into settings and moved it to the phone no problem (no error message this time). I then restored data for that app and all has been well since.

Hope this helps those who have reported this error....
