Re: ->->39 EVO Roms! (Updated 8/3)<-<-

this rom thread is great and nicely organized.

maybe you guys can help me out? Im running the nightly cm project but the battery life is horrendous. I know about the fixes and such but still.

I'm going on vaca from Thursday-Sunday and could use the best battery life possible without a charger. Of course I use my phone like most...text,email,twitter...

which rom should I download that would give me the battery life I had from the stock rom when I first got my evo? I was getting a good 2 days from it..now i charge often. plus i tether alot but wont be much on vaca.

thanks alot guys sorry if i didn't make too much sense. its 7am =)

I'm on damage 3.2.3 with overclock widget. 2.2 isn't getting the right battery life yet. I get almost a day and a half but must turn off the internet when not in use, turn off mobile location under location setting and play with the screen brightness. Sounds like a lot but its easy. Internet and mobile location eat up so much battery.

Also running nova panel fps unlock with undervolt kernel

i was running damage 3.2.3 as well and was pleased with it but this rom is great, besides battery life.

i usually have the internet on due to twitter but location setting might be a good option for me to try. ill look at some posts over at xda to see what rom i should choose, since I really only need it for days im on vacation and of course will have a charger as well.

In Twitter settings do you have the option to update manually? In Facebook I have my update settings to once daily. Then I will manually update when I want to get on and want to see current notifications.

Fresh is a great ROM for battery life. My battery stays good daily. I don't have to charge but once and that's overnight.

Re: ->->45 EVO Roms (Updated 8/5 Added Damage 3.5, netarchy 1.0, Calkulin 2.2)<-<-

Is there ANY 2.2 ROMs that have decent battery life? EVERY single one I've tried, including Fresh, has drained my battery faster than a stripper drains my wallet at a strip club!

In searching the various forums, I read that when you do a wipe to a new ROM the battery memory is wiped as well and you need to recondition (recalibrate is the word they used) the battery. When I first installed Fresh's new 2.2 ROM I was disappointed...but I decided to charge overnight (phone off), use off the charger all day until battery fully drained and then repeat. Try to avoid putting on the charger until it is about to go dead...after a few days of this you should see maximum battery life. Right now I'm at 89% after 2h 11m...and I've been playing Wordfeud with a friend all morning...and I've had a 30 minute phone conversation. I don't use a task killer anymore and I have Android Mate where I go in periodically and stop the running processes.

Remember: if you are using the phone nonstop for videos, internet, games, etc that will eat battery life regardless of phone. If for regular use, you should get 12hrs+ daily out of the battery.
