You will need to flash the Radio and Wimax updates as well. I'll add links to both of those in the first post.

OK... prepare yourself for a total NOOB question... but, I see everyone is holding out for the Deodex'd version. What does it mean to be Deodex'd?? I did a couple searches, but came up with no clear answer... Sorry!

A normal stock ROM has odex files with each apk and jar file. When you deodex a ROM it taks the odex files and creates a class.dex file inside the apk/jar file itself. So it makes each apk & jar a little bigger but gets rid of all the odex files.

Will the camera be limited to 3mp? I've been reading elsewhere and seemed to have conflicting info. Sorry if it's already been answered somewhere else.

Only if you run netarchy's kernel but you won't have Wireless Tether without netarchy's kernel. It's a give and take until the kernel sources are released.

i was able to successfully root the phone and install my first cusstom ROM, but now having difficulty trying to locate the instrucations needed in order to apply another custom rom?

Appreciate all the help in advance.

Throw it on your sd card, reboot to recovery and use the "Flash zip from sdcard" option.

Hey I am still having issues with the Market on this one. Trying to update googlemaps and keeps saying installation failed. Any way of getting this to work? I can install other apps from the market with no problem, just not google maps update.

Well crap.. I even wiped all cache and reflashed.. all other apps install but google maps. Maybe I will try it from wifi when I get home.

I tried using some of the kubino99's battery percentage files, since this was a deodexed version, and I get hung up at the EVO boot screen. Anyone else getting a working battery percentage on this?

Not specifically no, but there may be one specifically for 2.2 or a workaround to make those compatible.

Figured the google maps not updating issue. Apparently 2.2 has issues with some apps not updating properly. Followed the below and was able to sucessfully install maps from the market:

adb kill-server
adb root
adb remount
adb shell rm /system/app/Maps.apk
adb uninstall com.google.android.apps.maps

I didn't and it worked fine. Just use the filename it has so you know what it is when it is on your SD card.

i have all 3 files and because im a noon in the android market, i don't know how to install these files. i believe the device is rooted, im just not sure how to install these 3 files.

edit: ok i figured out how to install the new rom by going to recovery mode and deleted all files and cache..

how do i install radio and wimax?? same way without deleting stuff from recovery?

thanks superevilalalamma that worked fine. Now this rom is already rooted it says. I flashed to this one, ON top of my previous UnRevoked rooted stock phone. Does the android wireless tether app work on it? Or is their a new free app that already comes with the FroYo that can be used?

wow! 3g feels like 4g on this rom. goodness.

Nope. Didnt miss anything. Yet another registration to a site I will likely never visit again = fail. Someone needs to toss it up on mediafire or something..

It's a great site, with of the greatest chefs. Registration is just as fast a site like massmirrors or RapidShare.

wifi tether FTW!!!! im not gettin any 4g tho..i load up the radio fine, but i dont connect to any 4g networks

im having the same issue, no 4g and wifi tethering starts but i can't connect to it after installing all updates.
