Froyo handles applications better than those task killers. My recommendation is to remove.

Re: [ROM] 12/05/10 | SPRINT LOVERS | 2.2 | 3.30.651.3 | Radio/Wimax/PRI All-In-One

Can anyone give me any advice as to whether or not this ROM and the baseband and PRI extras and such are safe for 0002 hardware version? The reason I ask is that I've been having some trouble lately with not being able to answer calls or texts properly lately and after much troubleshooting have started to wonder is they have to do with the fact that I upgraded BB and PRI and all a while back, somewhere close to when I started having these problems, though I'm not sure of that. I've got a discussion at the following thread, if you have an answer to my initial question about the fitness of this ROM for my hardware version or a suggestion for the root problem that I'm trying to fix it sure would be appreciated!

But what about minfreemanager? I am using that with some custom settings I found in another thread. Does this program hurt battery life?

Any third party task manager that you install tends to hurt battery. Froyo handles programs and services very well so just let it do its job. If you're concerned about having a task manager, create a shortcut to "manage applications"

For those who have expressed interest in trying out the old HTC Kernel #11 with this rom build they can do so by downloading the Kernel Pack available on the first post. It contains flashable kernels for both #11 (3.29.651.5) and the #17 kernel (3.30.651.3). It does not contain "Old #7" though :drunken:

Do these kernels give better battery life?

But remember that minfreemanager only tweeks the built in manager. Its not a separate manager. I am running a custom config of the built in manager using minfreemanager but I don't know if this hurts battery life.

One more question. Why did chris switch back to the orig kernel? Is there better battery life with the other kernel he had in one of the updates or where there issues?

I've noticed the same thing. Haven't sat down and looked for any patterns yet.

Is your signal low? The error you are getting happens when signal is low or drops as sprint tv isn't very forgiving on signal drops while it is playing.
