major question; is this 95% working?
and if you flash, is it best to do the root with radio or rooted stock and apply the radio when every youwant to.

I assume you mean ROM with radio.
v1.5 is rock solid.
v1.6 is great. 4G isn't working 100%.

As a test you could flash 1.6 with your current radio and see if 4G holds. If so then update the radio and wimax and see how it goes.
Post #977 links Calks thread where he has radios and wimax to test out.
FYI-ACCORDING TO CALK its not good practice to mix old and new software. So keep your eyes peeled when testing.

IMO 1.6r is good.
4G is not working for all. The post two above yours may give some new Mix and Match options for radios and wimax that we can play with. (I'm not in a 4G area)
NAND is not re-locked but writing to /system is may only be working from Recovery. I still gotta learn what that means :study:
As far as I can tell all other features, including the improvements from the OTA are working great for me.

EDIT-That was me btw that said I lost root after flashing 1.6
I think it was a combo of the ROM and wimax that made it appear root was lost. It definitely was not lost with my latest flash.

Thanks that's what need to know... let me know what you learn about it only writing From recovery

Mine took a looooong time to DL OTA. If you cant connect to WiFi make sure your signal doesnt fade.

4G FIX (?)

I can't test this as I don't have 4G.

Even within this thread there are mixed results.

You must have the AndroidSDK installed to verify your mac address.

If your mac address is good, the fix seems straightforward.

If your mac address is bad the steps to fix it have a huge potential for user error.
READ. READ. READ.....the instructions and thread.

I'll help where I can but since I cant fully test it I don't know how helpful I'll be.

Good luck.

EDIT: You MUST have fully rooted with toast method for this to work.

EDIT2: OK, I can at least confirm that the steps for verifying the mac address work :) Hey, it's a start!

EDIT#: I'm reading about yet another option :spin:

it seems like this 4g issue is an absolute nightmare and people are really struggling to get 4g back over at xda and here. i really want to flash but don't want to go through a nightmare trying to get 4g back if i do.

I concur. This whole situation is a nightmare right now. I'm sure the dev's are working hard on this right now as we speak.
