What is ADB and .... where ... is it? Is on my phone? I checked the market and there is NOTHING close to adb installer, adb loader, adb anything.

Can somebody please explain this to me. Explain it like you would to a retard.

OK, I'd like a picture with a unicorn that has sprinkle do-nuts on it's horn and me chasing it thru a poppy field wearing ONLY a cowboy hat and fuzzy slippers.

So I guess I'll just have to star a location in GMaps. Not that serious to install that stupid footprints. Didn't really want it anyhow :P

@Fat Tony.
Can't you just install the footprints.apk with estrong''s file explorer? You can get the footprints.apk from many Roms that automatically write the removed stock apps to your memory card during the flash process. It creates a folder called "Removed_Apps" on the root of your memory card. Give that a try. If not then I suggest you choose a Rom with the features and apps that you need.

No, you can't install it using estrongs. I tried several methods. The only way to do it is thru the ADB thingy-ma-bober and when I read up on adb I feel my eye start to twitch and it's not really that serious. I'm more pissed because I am an old school geek. I was making pirated copies of 5" floppy disks on my 386SX 25 Zeus (which I still have, I remember to open a program you'd go make a sammich and when you get back it was open) and this new crap is giving me a stroke. I can't get my brain around it and IT IS GETTING ME PISSED THAT I CAN'T DO IT!

i think IKS had a good idea.....use a simple adb remount command to make the \system writable, then use Android Mate on the phone to copy the apk to \system....reboot

Wow, I was about to suggest that mabe a very generous member would do that or go one more step farther and give step by step and command instructions. OMJ if you don't get thanked for that I will be ashamed for Fat Tony! Oh you'll get your thanks either way LOL! I'm not to proud to click that button for helpful members even if I wasn't the one being helped. :)

@OMJ.

In your 4.5 Rom, is there a simple way for me to return the right rosie "+" button to it's original stock Rom function? (Add to homescreen instead of launch web browser) Thanks. Also thanks for everything you do for the community!

I was thinking about that too, I'll check w/ Myn, but I'm thinking it may be as simple as removing the rosie settings apk....but i'll check on it.
