If I do a hard reset on my EVO will I loose Root?

Reason for my hard reset is cuz Exchange Mail isn't working on my 2nd EVO. It was working perfectly before, but for some reason now I cant connect it to the exchange server. I've been reading that the best solution is to hard reset it the phone!

My worry is that I'll loose root in the process??

Thanks

if u currently have a custom rom installed, a hard reset will not lose root. you would need to flash something that would overwrite the exploit to lose root, like an official ROM.

actually, I'm no kernel specialist.....read the thread, looks to benefit emulators only, but I'm sure a kernel dev will include the fix....

Dudes. I can't seem to get my swype working. It's showing up settings, but there's no box to check to make it my default text. Not sure what I'm doing wrong. Any ideas?

Running OMJ v4.2

Running OMJ v4.2

to change the default KB, you have to long press in any input box (a box you would type in), then select input method, then select swype :)

I reflash again to a stock rom and rooted my phone again and flash to V4.2 and now my 4G still not working I think I broke my 4G connection :(. While I had the phone on a stock ROM and not rooted, my 4G was not working either. Next step would be to take it back to the store and exchange it.

I would stay away from clockworks, I see alot of people having issues with it[/QUOTE]

I think I'm getting better battery life out of this ROM. Favorite rom.

This question is for any moderator. I was wondering if it was possible to incorporate the new Bluetooth stacks from HTC that verizon uses to Use on my EVO so I can play my game with the Wii controller? Thanks..
