system/app..

Actually if you want to change your PRL then ##775# is what you want. OMJ already said he forgot the epst.apk that allows that code to work. OMJ will include it in the next update.

No mention of 3.28 on there. Maybe that's why netarchy's kernel did not play nice when I flashed OMJ'S rom of 3.28.

Dude. As it was said before, 3. 28 was NOT official. No Sprint tech or Sprint document will reference it. That has NOTHING to do with why the kernel didn't flash. That kernel does work on other 3. 28 ROMs. Kernels can be fickle, they don't need a clear cut reason not to work.

The latest PRI, kernels, and radios (baseband) are flashable from Recovery, either Clockwork or amon RA.
Those components of the ROM are not exclusive to Android, WinMo has them too with the possible exception of kernels. I never heard that term before I came to Android.

RUUs are methods of flashing employed by both WinMo and Android.
Hope that helps.

I did. No go.

If I check usb tethering when I connect to my laptop I can connect to the internet...in fact thats how I am connected right now.

Go to rom manager and at the bottom hit alternate recovery, reboot into recovery and use RA recovery, never hurts to wipe cache and dalvik cache 2x before flashing PRI, kernel, or baseband. Wipe data also when flashing a new ROM No idea about WM phones.

Thank you! I had no idea how to flash those beside flashing the rom! Last question, do I extract them from their zip form or leave it as is?

Hi OMJ! Glad to follow you to this forum. Because of your great WinMo ROM'sI was able to tolerate my Touch Diamond till I got my EVO, which I now have just rooted with UnreEVOked 3.21. I was going to try your 3.28 ROM when news leaked from HTC about the 3.29 OTA. I think I can wait till the kernel from that gets incorporated into your ROM. No big hurry... the EVO works so well right now that I just grin all the time. Used TitaniumBackup donate version to delete several annoying built-in apps like Amazon MP3. BTW... it must be weird to move from Orlando to Minneapolis with fall here and winter coming. Hope your transition is going smoothly. Thanks for all your hard work on all your ROM's!

Well there isn't necessarily anything to fix. The new OTA is out and apparently fps IS uncapped so unless you want to OC you may not need a modded kernel. Then again the same netarchy kernel could flash just fine on 3. 29, or try another kernel. Choice is good :D
