Go into Market and search "rom manager". Download and install Rom Manager, then open. Once that is open, select flash clockworkmodrecovery, confirm you have a HTC cdma Evo, then it will install. Next, second to the bottom is flash alternative recovery, select that and it will install (Amon) RA Recovery. You can use either to wipe/flash.

For a theme I am using Riptides, found here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=727117 BUT...I have been looking at the Kuma theme lately and really digging it. Any one tried it out yet? Here is the Kuma theme: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=742164 |

So, IKS, I was able to get google maps on my phone, and even the new update. If anyone was having a problem with the installs from market saying the "package was not signed correctly," or "unknown reason -8," and tried everything, I wiped everything, reflashed the ROM and installed everything from market rather that recovery. It's more of a pain, but it worked for me. Thanks for the help IKS!
