U don't keep many apps, do ya? Or do you do a data restore? Data wiping isn't necessary... trust us... specially IKsquat... that dude should rename himself to "IKNOWALOT"

Excellent!! So would you say that the Evo is pretty hard to brick? I know that a lot of devs said that the TP2 was almost un-brickable (if thats a word)...

Just booted into Recovery with Quick Boot and using Rom MAnager. Where is wipe Dalvik? I see wipe data/factory reset and wipe cache partition but do not see wipe Dalvik......

EDIT: nevermind, found it

EDIT 2: when selecting "wipe dalvik" I see nothing on the screen like I do when I wipe cache or when I wipe data/factory reset......any thoughts on this?

From what I've read, yes, the Evo is very hard to brick. Even the Unrevoked team has only seen one and they aren't even sure if it couldn't have been fixed. If anyone is going to brick a phone it's those Dudes. Of course never say never ;)
Are you on Clockwork Recovery? That's the first thing that comes to mind when someone mentions an issue with Dalvik. If you are then look for an advanced option, dalvik should be in there as well.

Like I said above wiping Cache after Factory/Data is redundant-you just wiped it as part of the Factory/Data wipe. Battery stats is personal preference-definitely not required but I 'spose it can't hurt.

ROM MGR recovery doesn't wipe dalvik correctly. Boot up. Go to ROm Mgr and then u flash.alternate recovery... look towards bottom of Rom mgr.... then do a recovery and u'll see a different recovery screen. Do dalvik via amon RA... which is the recovery screen u should be I. At the time...

Gluck....

OMJ, would just like to take the time to thank you and all the DEV'S here for all your great work and effort into your rom's. I know everyone has there preference on which rom is best, but I get the best everyday results and usage from your rom's. Currently running 3.0 and will now be downloading 3.1. Question though, why don't you get set up with Rom Manager to allow us to download any updates you do to your rom's? I think that would be an added plus for you. Again thanks for your hard work and dedication to all of us.

OK, Thanks. Yea I went ahead and flashed last night even though Dalvik wasnt wiping correctly and did not have any issues as expected because I was going from OMJ's 3.0 to 3.1. So i guess from here on out I should use RA recovery instead of Rom MAnager? Thats kind of a bummer because I really like Rom Manager. I know I'll still go in through Rom Manager but then immediately switch to RA, so I will do everything in RA instead of Rom Manager?

I went ahead and flashed Kingklick #8 immediately after flashing to 3.1 and I am very pleased so far. Awesome if you have all of your new ROMs in Rom Manager since your ROMs are my favorites and I also prefer ROm MAnager!! Now if Rom Manager could just fix the wiping Dalvik issue I'd be all set. Thanks again for all of your hardwork man!! :headbang: Even though I am now, and have been in the past, extremely happy with your current ROM, i look forward to your next releases just becasue I love to flash and play around with my phone. I think I'm starting to grasp Android a little bit and cant wait to see what the future holds with my little hobby. So glad I made the switch from WinMo. Do you have any plans for future ROMs? Like built in themes, or different launchers where we could switch back in forth between Sense and say Launcher Pro? Just curious to see what we will be playing with next

Ok cool, I have never done any wiping with Titanium, actually never played with it enough to know that I even could. I may give that a try too though.
