PPCGeeks - [FINAL] OMJ's HTC EVO 2.2 Custom ROM v4.6 | FroYo 3.70.651.1

Anyone else having a problem with the latest rom that wireless tether keeps disconnecting when sharing 4G? Seems to happen after a few minutes of use.

check Menu>Settings>Wireless&Network>Scroll down to Mobile Networks and make sure "Enable always on Mobile device" is checked.

I had the same problem with tether and it was because I had this box unchecked in order to save battery life.

Settings of the overclock widget i'm using:

I always hit "detect frequencies" first
Min: 576000
Max: 998400
Differ Freq Screen Off: Check
screen off freq settings:
min:245000
Max: 245000
Update Interval: 30sec(this doesn't matter imo tho)
Supress Notification: Check
Use your freq: Check
Auto-start on boot: Check

then i click save and done.

I had alot of issues with ocwidget when froyo was first released !! any idea if they put out an update since 8/6/10 ??
Please keep us updated if u start seeing prob's with text messages, dialing , or any other issues !! THANX

my Wireless tethering is not working. I don't see it as an option in MY wireless network. Any suggestions. I am running the current OMJ'S Rom. THANK YOU

You may just need to uninstall/reinstall. Was it working and stopped or is this the first time you are trying it?
What version are you using and what kernel are you on? (check under menu/settings/about phone/software)

Like i said in my post... when i went to compose a txt i had to close and open a full times b4 it would start writing , when id go make a call it would take for ever to go to calling screen , and a few other things i cant remember right now !! It did take a few days for these bugs to start happening !! So .... Use and keep us updated !!

You can use the Installer feature of Android Mate (included in the ROM) to install the apk's.
After installing a kb make sure you enable it under Menu/Settings/Language and keyboards (if it doesnt have check box then you dont need to worry about it-ie DroidX) Then long press on any text input field and select input options from the menu. You'll see your kb options there.

The Droid keyboard. Since I saw it In zip format I figured I had to flash it. Well it didn't flash. I unzipped and saw an apk file hidden inside bunch directories. Let me know if you've tried this kb and how I'm supposed to install it... thanks..
