OMJ, I have never asked you anything, but I think it's time... lol...

I noticed you still have PRI 1.34, I've searched and I could never find an answer, but do you happen to know how to get it to 1.40 version?

It's been hunting me for quite some time, and I am afraid to say that the PRI 1.40 does have a better communication than the 1.34... a friend's phone still has it and... wow... I was impressed with it.

Thank you!

I think that was part of the exploit to get root.

ok so im still learning android and sorry being a noob. but i need help!

ok so i just rooted my phone via simple root (3 clicks) and for anyone that hasn't rooted yet or are afraid to do it, USE THIS METHOD! SO EASY! its a FULL ROOT

now i understand for omj's rom i need to flash 1.7 first before i can move onto the other higher ones. i see that omj has released a 2.2 froyo version. do i need to install the 2.2 update and then flash his rom? (i haven't seen a root method yet for 2.2?? i'm confused) or can i just flash 2.2 omj rom without updating from the htc website?

As far as I can tell, everything is working except WiFi tether. I will hang on until omj's next ROM.

I was having the same problem with wifi tether. I upgraded to new kernel and it works, only downside,, and the only downside is rear camera goes to 3m instead of 8. weird enough though when you take pics and compare them to before is seems like no difference. Just my two cents though.

thanks. i loaded up the kernel and it's running fine. unfortunately i can't test the wifi at work (lappy is at home) so i'll just have to wait. i'm assuming everything will work fine.

and yes. the comment was definately premature. thanks as always.

do you know of anyone that's been able to get the droid x kb working yet? i know it's a hot issue. there seems to be a lot of use that have been using it.

EDIT. woohoo!!! I'm happy to say that my 2000 post was in OMJ's thread.

So OMJ any plans on incorporating this kernel into your next build or are we just waiting to see if any changes are going to take place tomorrow?

I just answered these questions.....and yes, I'll be fixing the streaming music...

I'm abit hesitant to include in the ROM because it caps the camera....if I leave the stock kernel, then ppl have choices, it's very easy to flash....now if they fix the camera (i'm sure they will), yes, I'll definitely add.

yes, if the offical OTA has a newer radio, I wil include

well this time there's no wimax fiasco, so no worries

yes, titanium should work...

here's what u do.....do a full nand backup, flash froyo & latest baseband radio, restore titanium.....if u dont like, restore the nand backup & your back to where your at now

Sorry but had to flash back to 1.9 love your roms but without Sprint hotspot WiFi I need the tether to work and it didn't seem to work on the 2.2 release. Great job anyway OMJ. When tether works on 2.2 will be flashing back. Any chance on your next release leaving the sprint hotspot in ?

Do u pay for the hotspot?

you could flash the updated kernel, that will get wifi tether working

or

if u really want sprint hotspot, I'll cook another with it included

if u are rooted, u are stuck w/ PRI 1.34_003. This is because that's what they used to exploit/root the phone. Hopefully Toast or someone else will come up with another exploit so we can use 1.40

no, dont install the 2.2 update, YOU WILL LOSE ROOT!!! also, you dont need to update to 1.7 first. Just flash my 2.2 ROM followed by the wimax update

on 2nd thought, flash my 1.7 ROM1 first cuz there's some firmware updates you will be missing
