Reflashed rom 1 to see if that would "fix" the issue with contact pics not showing on incoming calls...no go. Any ideas ?

Update: Found problem...if you don't put the area code in front of the contact phone number it shows just the android image and no contact pic when receiving calls from the contact list...with the area code all is well and it shows the contacts pic. Funny how small things jump up to bite you in the ass. :-)

I did the toast part 1 and 2 then i did the Fully rooted stock 1.47.651.1 in one shot (no adb) from xda and got to firmware 1.47.651.1.
But my PRI Version is 1.34_003,

If I do this OMJ 1st Rom will I have the PRI Version 1.40_003 as stated in the quote above?

my pri is 1.34_003 as well. I havent found an explanation yet why some of us are 1.34_003 and others are 1.40_003.
sorry to answer your question, no since mine was 1.34 before installing rom1 and its still 1.34.

i just did the Nand unlock and it worked it says 76.2000 (pc3610000) in the boot loader.

how do i check to see if i have the lastest OTA update?

Great! Thanks for the confirmation. If you flashed ROM 1 then you have the updates. If you want to be super, duper sure, you can verify your MAC address and wimax version by typing

wimax_mtd

in adb shell. The correct wimax ends in 25641. Your MAC address is two lines down, look for Dev mac. There numbers there need to match the mac address under your battery.
When you run that code you'll get a lot of info. Scroll back to the top to look for the info I'm talking about.

As OMJ has said, there is more to the OTA than wimax and radio.

EDIT-fyi--OMJ had Apps2SD in 1.5 but it wasn't working so he yanked it. Since it's a feature of Froyo (coming soon to an Evo near you!) I wouldn't think it's worth worrying about. Just my .02

thanks of the information. ill give a trying, i am sure i am fully up to date, i installed the 1.7 w/ OTA.

also i have another question. before i update my roms i always back up my data using mybackup pro then when i go to restore it after i have installed my new rom, some more my apps dont work. they give a picture of android guy and it says com.paypal etc... (for my paypal app) is this normal. it happens every time its starting to get annoying

I use mybackup pro too and havent had any issues, but I dont backup apps, just data. you could try android mate or titanium also for backing up apps

I havent had time to research more on app2sd, I pm'd a couple people for assistance but got no response :(
