I've done this already, I think ill redownload new_wimax.zip - reboot in recovery via ROM Manager and flash the new_wimax.zip again. Apply PRL and reboot again. Hope this works...

UPDATE: No go :(

Did you check the link I posted last nite? If your mac address is bad you won't get 4G.
They list a little different sequence for radio/wimax/prl updates.

Thank you sir! That is essentially the fix I posted last night from XDA provided users don't have a bad mac address.
They break it down a little differently but I'll take it as a confirmation ;)
Thanks for the 411.

Well i compared my 4G MAC address from behind the battery to the one About --> Hardware Info and they match

OK I see you're talking about this post: http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showpost.p...&postcount=938

I don't have the SDK and a micro USB on me to check it out. I'll do that when I get home. (I thought i was supposed to match the back of the phone to what the software reports. I didn't realize i was supposed to do it via terminal and adb. Thanks.

A little confused / stupid - So I have to compare the WiMAX MAC from the back of my phone to the fastboot NOT About --> Hardware information. The reason i'm asking is because I don't have the SDK on this computer nor a USB cable. If I can just verify it via About --> Hardware information, then I can just download the files OTA and flash and be good. (i'm so impatient)

As usual, winmonewbie, thanks :)

np, happy to help.
Dunno if that MAC verification is sound?
You could ASSUME the MAC is ok and then proceed. If it works, you're golden. If it doesnt you'd have the mac question hanging over your head.

I'm thinking that in a couple of days, maybe a week, the 4G fixes will be solid. I'm still on OMJ 1.5, no problems, and I really want the screen grounding fix.. I'll just wait.
And by the way, I'm in Houston, and my 4G sucks. So it's not the ROM. I probably need the wimax upgrade.

People over at xda are reporting that they got their 4G back online by flashing the old wimax on to the phone: http://forum.xda-developers.com/show...73#post7041672

I noticed most of the users in that thread that had success with the old wimax were fresh ROM users. Fresh ROM does NOT have the latest OTA software which is probably the reason that worked for them.
That's my .02 anyway.

Is there anything I should know about reverting to the stock rom after updating the radio and wimax update? I'm exchanging my phone today and want to send it back clean.

It depends on what stock RUU you use to go back to stock but I'm 99.9% sure they one from flipz/geekforme.com sends you back to full, unrooted stock EVERYTHING. Reconfirm before flashing but I seriously doubt anyone would check the radio/wimax version anyway.
Find a post with my sig, there's a link for going back to Stock.
