Issue with latest ROM - When I receive a call, the slider is below the visible area. The call display region seems to be much larger than usual.

Hi, just checked and this isn't occuring for me. so far so good with the rom. Everything is setting up just fine. windows live, texting, no ringer bug, email, etc. running very smooth! :)

if anyone wants I have a cab for a clear slider.

Glad everything is working, if you find any bugs, let me know.
Can you post it up? I've been looking for one but they all overlap the bottom icon and notification bubble.

Re: |MysteryROM| |Dec.13.2009| |Windows Mobile 6.5| |Sense 2.5|

Ok, I reflashed and issue with slider being out of position is over. It must have been something to do with installing teh new Google Maps 3.3.1 on top of existing 3.2.1.

However, still have issue with location - this time I loaded Google Maps before Weather app, and my location comes out generically as Ontario instead of Toronto in weather. Google Maps still does not do anything with "My Location" Matter of fact I don't even have the on map screen button to goto my location. Pressing "My Location" from the menu does nothing.

Additionally, it appears the new Opera 9.7 handles bookmarks a little differently than past versions. I copied my old bookmarks file (opera6.adr) into windows/Opera9/profile over top of the existing .adr file to no avail. It appears Opera now reads individual "favorites" now from the Windows/Favorites folder. Just have to figure out how to copy my old listings in to individual files.

I thought you meant a slider, like the transparent one nrgz28 uses, but might add this as well, like how it looks.

Edit: Can you post up that wallpaper for me? Thanks

IDK what can be wrong, my location works fine for me, is anyone else having this issue?

Also can you post your cab for Google Maps 3.3.1? Thanks

OK - attached the new Google Maps 3.3.1

Also noticed a slight glitch with Opera. Created up a series of URL's from my .adr file (manually) and deposited them into the favorites folder. However, the Favorites menu (everywhere) won't show the last two URL's. In flicking down to the bottom of Favorites, they show and then disappear as the screen bounces. Workaround is to copy the last URL twice so that you have three copies of it. The first will show up and the second two won't.

As for the My Location issue - perhaps it is an issue with Telus - anybody else on Telus having difficulty with it?

I copied the opera6.adr file to my pc. Then I opened it in wordpad. I did a Replace on "==" for "=". Then I used a program called Bookmark Converter 3 to convert to IE Favorites into a temp folder on my PC. Then I copied these favorites into the Windows\Favorites directory on my Diamond. I had to do the sub = for ==, because the converter was putting an extra = in front of the bookmarks.

Bookmark converter (shareware but fully functional for 30 days)

Looks like this version of Opera 9.7 doesn't autorotate. Also zoom is like Opera 10. No scroll wheel. Bummer :( Why did you change it?

Also.. Email was a little flaky. It wouldn't connect right at first. Finally, it worked.. not sure why.. magic I guess, but it was stuck on Send/Receive for a while.

I noticed the last version and this version have the Reminder notification... set up so that if you use a sound, it repeats.. The repeat is grayed out sound I can't un-select it. Is this normal?

If you have multiple reminders on your screen with this version, any way to dismiss all?

Finally, In Settings/personal/Input, there is nothing listed for Input Method. Not sure if this is normal. Keypad works anyway.

Hey Mystery,

Thanks this was a very nice intro to Sense. i tried out your DEc 1st 21882 release and it seemed stable and pretty fast. There were a few things that were bugging me so I went back to my last cooked rom for work monday, possibly related to being sprint specific. I will definetly try your generic rom when you release it! Thanks for the great work and looking forward to your next release!!

With the opera in the previous builds I could click on a video and it would open up the streaming media app but with this new version it opens a new tab and gives an error. Does anyone know how to get opera to open media files correctly?

Im on the Dec 13th Rom.

First time it happened to me. I wasn't able to set my phone to vibrate before going to work. I was pressing the up and down volume key of the phone and no 'volume window' appeared. Soft reset fixed it.

Love this version of Opera. The scrolling is very nice. There's just the scrolling issue with the Favorites window...

Also guys, do you know if there's a way to change the wallpaper but only in the home tab ? I tried with Menu - Home Wallpaper - Weather Wallpaper and choose mine but it is present in all the tabs :(

its because bg4all is cooked into the rom. Not sure how to remove this. You may want to use Mystery kitchen and uncheck this. I would bet a new one is coming soon with the new sys that are popping up :)

Mystery, I'm using you Kitchen and it's great--Thanks for the tools. How did you change the VM to 0 Modules on Slot 0. I'm assuming that you used wmrelcoc.exe, but I can't seem to find any definitive directions on how to change it. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The Rooster one works for me... well... from so far. It works with vibrate at the same time.

Re: |MysteryROM| |Dec.13.2009| |Windows Mobile 6.5| |Sense 2.5|

On my phone there is some freaky stuff going on with rotate. Sometimes Opera 9.7 will autorotate, sometimes it won't. If I use the Send button to rotate, then the HTC Sense interface and everything else starts rotating into landscape. I can press the send button to rotate back..but I have to do it for every app.

Also.. I'm not digging this version of Opera 9.7. Autorotate isn't working reliably for me. The double tap zoom is ok, but I like the zoom wheel. Finally, when I try a download to the Internal Storage, it wasn't letting me pick a directory. Yuk!

I'm gonna go back to Opera 9.5 and leave it up to you guys to install Opera 7 or 10 as a cab. I'm also gonna make a few UI changes and will have the new kitchen up in a few days!

the rooster and classic worked fine for me until recently.. for some reason they stopped making any kind of sound. i installed GAlarm 2.3 and that seems to do the trick but its just a trial copy so I'll have to get a full version or find another program. any suggestions? lookin forward to the new build :) this ROM rocks!

I don't know if it's because of the rom but... my phone is no more recognized as a "hard drive" when I plug the usb cable and select "Disk drive". :(

I also had vibration feedback when typing right after having installed the rom but now it's gone.

My phone is recognized as a removable disk just find, and the vibration feedback is still there. What have you installed?

Nothing except MemMaid... :/ I did notice the weird 'selection issue' bug after the installation too. I don't know if you remember what bug I'm talking about. It's the one in the windows messaging window... I wasn't able to open a email, it was acting like multiple selection even if I didn't ask for it. It's still an awesome rom. I just wanna mention what I've found.

Hey Mystery. Been running the latest rom since it came out. Seems to be running great. Agreed on moving to 9.5, 9.7 seems to work better on devices that don't have an internal storage. lol. One thing I noticed is changescreen is set on by default, if you disable it and save, it still returns after a soft reset. not a big deal but wanted to let you know. Thanks again for this great rom!

mogulman01 12-16-2009 12:04 AM

Re: |MysteryROM| |Dec.13.2009| |Windows Mobile 6.5| |Sense 2.5|

Yeah.. I found change screen was causing some of the freakiness that I was experiencing. I disabled it for now. Apps outside of Opera, I like using the send key to change orientation.

Although I still like Opera 9.5 better. Maybe Opera 10 beta 3 will be good? :0

Just to let you know Mystery. I don't know how but I just came back of work and now my phone is recognized by my computer as a Disk Drive. I turned off my computer before going to work. Maybe rebooting it fixed the issue. I don't know.

Hi, first time poster here... I've tried a lot of ROMs here, and yours is by far the best. I've been running 11/26 version on my Sprint Diamond for a while, and it's like a new phone. Thank you!!

I just upgraded to the 12/13 version, and have a question - it appears that the phone has reverted back to using old-style soft buttons and close button, etc. - the X (close) now appears on top, instead of on the bottom, clock in the top row is missing, Start button is in top left now, etc. Is this something obvious that I'm missing, or was it a decision on your part to do that?

Thanks again!

You were running a 6.5.x SYS before with the 11/26 ROM. Due to some of the pending issues with some of the 6.5.x SYS' Mystery decided to stop making these for a while and focus on the 21882 SYS which is proven to be more solid out of the box.

Enjoy the stability!!!

basically you want a rom build that says 28xxx or 23xxx instead of 21xxx

21xxx is 6.5 which is standard buttons with X on top.

23xxx and 28xxx are 6.5.1 and 6.5.3 respectively and have the new bottom big buttons, X button, etc... some people prefer 6.5 and some 6.5.x

I suggest you head over to OMJs sense 2.5 thread and download the latest 28005 and you should be just fine. 28011 is too buggy I think but he may have fixed it.
