hey mystery, i just loaded your rom yesterday and it runs well and is visually attractive, yet simple. the only gripe i have with the rom so far is that it drains my battery really quickly. i used pegasus' rom for a while and my phone, at the end of the day, would still have about 20% of its charge left. but with your rom, and energy rom, the phone drains really quickly. my usage is usually just texting/email. is there some thing you can tweak to get more out of the battery?

I don't know if this helps but I got 2 solid days out of my battery by turning wifi off when not using it.

yea, i almost never use wifi. evdo is usually on bc of email.

Also you might be able to find Calkulin's battery tweaks in cab form that can toggle fast charge and the low battery toggle which helps a lot.

Love the rom, but am having problems with the keyboard. XT9 words are never populating correctly. Is it set to a different language or something?? can't figure this out. I've tried both compact qwerty and full keyboard.

That is because I have change screen.ink on the start up folder under windows, just delete it from there and it should be disabled. I will fixed this next release.
Yeah sometimes a soft reset fixes things.
I personally think the battery for my ROM is average. The reason why it is being drain so quickly is because you have email pushing and it uses data which is one of the main things that drain the battery. Try to set it to 2 hours or something like that, that should help.
Don't use xt9, but what do you mean with "not populating correctly" Can you post a screen shot?

thanks for the reply. my email is set to 2 hrs and weather is set to manual update. i try to limit as much unnecessary internet usage as i can to get longer battery life. i even dimmed the screen down to 30%. doing all this, the batter life is still not that great. i've noticed that it drains after texting or phone calls, which is sort of obvious, but i feel like its draining more than it should. maybe this is something that you have no control over, but it'd be nice if this could be improved. have you talked to calkulin or the person who makes eneryrom about this?

I have Calkulin's battery registry edits in my ROM. How about switching to 1X only when texting? Switching from EV to 1X drains the battery as well.

I find that the battery usage is very low and I end up with 50-60% left at the end of the day. I do moderate texting and a couple of calls, have email and weather update every 30 minutes. Maybe dim your backlight a bit? The backlight is one of the worst battery killers.

I've had no battery issues running this ROM. Something I know someone pointed out on another thread was that must of us have had our Diamonds for quite a while and sometimes blame battery drain on the ROM or usage without realizing that our batteries are just degrading with age as any other rechargeable battery does. Just a thought...

Mystery, any chance of updating your kitchen :) Love 6.5.x, but it's hard to keep up to date with all the changes you do :p

Downloading the test rom too, curious to see the changes!


EDIT: really like the new ROM! the lack of 1% battery is annoying though :-/ haven't noticed any bugs or anything though. nice and fast too!

I'm still on the dec 13th version. Last night I went to the settings tab and changed sound to Silent mode. I ended up getting a reminder that rang this morning telling me that Christmas is coming (from my calendar).

I don't have the setting in Clock/reminders set to remind even when sound is off, so this shouldn't have happened right??

Any idea why the sound would happen when in silent mode?

Yeah, I'm just waiting for the actual packages to get release.
I won't post my kitchen until a few days, its a mess right now since I was trying out new things for this latest release.
When trying to update the album artwork Sense re-started, that is fixed now.
No, its still 6.5
Is shouldn't, but did you have the reminder to actually ring? That will ignored the "Silence mode".

i love this ROM but the only problems i have is
THE BATTERY DIES VERY FAST :(
i bought two batteries and set the backlight to 30% or 40% and still dies very fast.

another thing i would to have it built there is a phone pad keyboard the one just like a regular phone with t9.

That is strange because I find this ROM has the best battery life. Maybe try flashingto stock ROM and back to Mysterys ROM. Also you can change to the t9 phonepad by going Start > Utilities > SIP > ezSIP change

I really don't know how you can be getting such a horrible battery life with my ROM, do you have anything running in the background like push mail, etc?
Actually this new keyboard I am using does NOT have the Phone keypad, only compact and full. I found one with phone keypad but some things like T9 don't work, it doesn't save your added words.

Hey Mystery. Just flashed to the Dec. 20th ROM. Seems much faster and smoother all around. I always love your ROMS!

I have one issue though. Im using Compact Qwerty and T9, and it is not guessing any of the words I type correctly. I also tried to delete all the words using eT9Mywords app, but still no progress. Just wondering if there is a fix for this.

Also I cannot switch back to full QWERTY using Sip changer.

Just to the Dec 13th rom and am having trouble send and receving texts. I am on the road right now and havent had the time to read through all the posts. Is there some easy fix to this. I send a text and about some time later i get an error saying it wasn't sent.

Sorry if this is a noobish question, just trying to get this done on the go.

There was a text message error from one of my earlier releases, but it was solved a long time ago. Try flashing to shipped rom then back to mine and see if that fixes it, I text all the time and haven't had a single issue with that.

I was to lazy to make my own screenshots so I got a screenshot from CaptainThrowbacks rom.

It looks exactly like this except the rom isn't in windows mobile 6.5.x, it is WM 6.5 and there is a bug in the picture/video tab that it only shows pics in 2d, and this isn't the final version of 2.1 sense, but the final version should come in a few days.

Mystery Overall i love your rom.. i'm only having 1 problem with it. on both the 12/13 and 12/20 release i use my phone for music playback on the train. on both releases music works for 1 or 2 hours but then just stops working and i need to reboot the phone for music playback to work.. i noticed that when the music will no longer play there is a spilling wheel in the top left of the screen.. anyone have any ideas?
